  1. Well we've achieved something off this list OMG! Technically pulling 10x body weight and 250kg ended up being the same thing. Esky is bang on 25kg at the moment. We had weightpull introductory night last night. I went along to build confidence pulling the cart and just get her back into things The set up wasn't ideal, so I didn't want to push her any harder than that. Hoping for a good year of weightpull :D I think it may even have been her PB Just checked and yes it is her PB :D Well done!
  2. why stop with the photos-I would only have to fold the washing up if i did
  3. Trying to get the mop through the dog door (aged 9 or 10 weeks). To do this he dragged the mop about 4 meters and then went backwards through the dog door. Wish I had seen it from the start of this little exercise.
  4. Yep-Very good at cleaning-here is Waldo choosing the perfect tissue to use (I sense a mini comp developing here)
  5. "I beg to differ though, Sue and Waldo, the best mini lives with me" Gosh you scared me-I thought Waldo had got out. No he is here. So guess what THE BEST MINI LIVES HERE!
  6. I have the best mini in the world (not that I am biased). Waldo is a male aged 23 months and he has bonded well with me. I am not sure I know much about gender differences. I would suggest that you make contact with some breeders and enquire about their dogs temperament. I would make contact with the Schnauzer Club of Victoria. they are amazingly supportive of owners and interested owners. The mini is a great dog. Strong and robust. Happy. Can be stubborn but I have loved training Waldo. He has responded very well to positive training methods. Waldo will be 2 in May. He has his CCD and Rally Novice titles. He is a great companion. He visits in the nursing homes with the Lort Smith visiting program. Hope this helps.
  7. I read this to DH and his comment. Of course puppies are infectious-we have never gone to just look and not come home with one having caught the puppy virus.
  8. I thought that it was a guide dog puppy but not sure. I visit with Waldo in hospitals in Melbourne and one major hospital has banned our visits on the basis of this. I visit with Lort Smith.
  9. Violet-11 years young! Love Roxy's bouncy style. Superb runs and well done again.
  10. Well done! I am so thrilled for you. That is just awesome. I am sure they are so much fun to train because you have fun training. BTW sorry if I was cross at the trial. Having got up at 6am to get there on time and settle Waldo down and worked hard on my footwork all week i was peeved (to say the least) that my entry had gone astray in spite of having cheque numbers/dates etc. Enough of this! Congrats again!
  11. these links might help. I know people who used the first site to find a rental house. http://www.rentalrealestate.com.au/?pagecall=content&contentID=61684 http://australia.trovit.com/property/for-rent-pet-friendly-melbourne
  12. Makes me sick to think of it. They had rolls and rolls of it when I was at Bunnings today. Should be outlawed - LOL. Sorry KHM :). No worries - ours has been great but I would not have gone with the Bunnings one - definitely proffesional job needed. Her's was put down professionally and it cost her big time. It was put on sand and supposed to drain. You could smell it from the back door. It was advertised as pet friendly. Maybe it was the rubber backing that was the problem.
  13. A friend of mine had it put down and within 10 days it reeked. She is in the process of getting legal advice to get a refund. The urine just pooled onto the rubber backing. I would keep well away from it!
  14. Do you mean when heeling? I didn't for Waldo but I did at first with Cindy. Waldo has a very fast drop/sit /stand and I lured with food then faded the food. the lure motion was the same as my hand signal. Is that what you mean? If he misses one I use a negative marker. Does that answer the question?
  15. I recorded a metronome beat from here http://www.seventhstring.com/metronome/metronome.html onto my phone for normal, fast and slow pace in 3 different files and practiced with that until I had it in my mind. It helped work out my stride lengths as well.
  16. I think he is OK. He hasn't vomited since this morning and his developing herding traits at the moment. Trying to round us up towards his food but we think he had better rest his tummy. It is very cute behaviour though! I was very annoyed because it is the first time I had got DH to a trial and ... oh well.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised if it was blocked from 2 computers
  18. Paddles it was not as bad as it looked on the video. The wind was blowing the sand everywhere and the amount of duck poo was unreal. It was also very hot. The wind was also blowing the BBQ smells over the ring. Your ring also missed the windbreak provided by the building. Milo was in good position and the recall would have been good if you had remembered what to do. Are you able to attend FOO sessions? Must have not been a good DOL day. I went in very confident as our training was awesome this week. Oops! Waldo had no idea of heel. No sits and then did an auto sit in the middle of the heel pattern. He sat and I kept going. What the...After we left the ring Waldo vomited and again this morning so my frustration has now turned to what is wrong. Ah well at least the judge said that my footwork was good.
  19. Can you tell me about the course-I haven't heard about it
