Wow your achievements make my question look like a bit dumb! What do you do to keep your heeling speed even. I have sorted out my footwork (although what the other people in the park thought I was doing is anyone's guess lol) I have sorted out walking strainght while sneeking a subtle look at Cindy but my speed is all over the place. How can I keep it even. I have a bad ankle so I tend to be on the slow side.

Glad you felt the pups move-a very stressful time for you.

You and your videos! She did get all her auto sits and a perfect heel as part of the recall. I don't think she was confused with what we did I think I let my nerves get the better of me and had trouble keeping a regular speed in my heeling. She did every sit and drop AND STAND! She was better with the light weight lead. Thanks for your vote of confidence and support os my prep with her. I have only been working on her trial prep for about 7 months so I am pleased. Now about that video.......

Gees considering all the SFE issues you have been having you should be really pleased with this - well done Now to work on the heeling :D You are right I was thrilled with the SFE. Cindy did very well until the figure of 8. She did not miss a singls sit/drop/stand but at the figure of 8 just lagged and would not keep in close. I think that I am been training around poles and she was a bit freaked by going around people. I lost my footwork and never recovered. I was a bit surprised as I thought I may have scrapped a pass. The judge was great though and very encouraging! Must be a DOLer! LOL.

I did my first CCD trial. 9/10 for SFE-I was stoked as Condy has battled with this-surely I mean play with the judge not SFE! 19/20 for recall 10/10 sit stay 10/10 drop stay Best not to mention the heeling-the handler had a major attack of nerves. In spite of that Cindy did well and scored 14/30 so we were close.

If you use a walking foot (used for quitling) it may be easier to sew PUL. I have had a hunt and found some parachute material in a variety of colours (see you never throw fabric out-you just never know!) so if you don't mind a coat of many colours I could post that to ...where ever. I think if you use a ball point needle the fabric would be less likely to tear and slip.
-
If you can get the parachute material you could line it (which would be the outside) with stretch interlock. I think you need something other than plastic or as that may cause heat problems and would just end up covered in the ointment. Would something like the rubber backed curtain material work as then it would be single thickness, give a waterproof coat but not be too heavy. Spotlight had some lightweight stuff in the curtain dept. that might work. I'll ask me mum-she is an amazing sewer and full of good ideas.

wow what great pics. Looks like you had a great day! -
Steady feet games applies for both front and back feet so if she moves remove the food and start again. Thanks for this-I have been doing it but I am surprised that it has just started. I will back the intnsity off a bit and see how we go.

I am trying to proof Cindy's SFE before our first CCD trial in just over a week I use the steady feet game and that has worked well. She no longer sits when the judge walks up In the last few days she is starting to move on hind leg-seems to be the side the person approaches her from. Any ideas would be gratefully received!
