  1. I thought it was for a Cert 4 in some Tafe course?
  2. VCA says pups to be registered in Victoria must be whelped in Victoria. I asked this very same question of them and was told bitch must whelp in Vic for pups to be registered in Vic. I didn't ask what would happen if I didn't bring the bitch back for whelping. Ask them to point you towards the regulation. Never take the word of the office staff in any state for a regulation. You need to read it yourself to make sure they have not got it wrong. They cannot possibly know every regulation off the top of their head. The ANKC are the registering body, not Dogs Vic, who just process the registration. There is nothing on a registration application asking where the litter was whelped, it just requires that the bitch is owned by the prefix holder and that the prefix holder is resident in the state where they are registered. Yes there is in Victoria

  4. incorrect for Victoria as I have stated previously
  5. no ( except for Vic ) pups must be registered in the same state as the prefix holder, so pups can be whelped in NSW and registered in Qld.
  6. not in Victoria. For the VCA to register the pups they must be born in the state. Went through this last year.
  7. not tested for safety on breeding animals, no way I would use it
  8. I was told animals can't have strokes years ago but never told why. I had an elderly dog, 13, fine one minute, unable to get up, mover her backs legs the next. She was PTS Then I had a 14 yo cat, same thing but she did this horrible meowing thing then was dragging herself around the floor by her front legs. Awful. Taken to vet and PTS. Vet said could have been something like a stroke or possible she had a tumour or similar on her spine which broke through. At least my dog was peaceful with it.
  9. It's about that high without the wheels. I bought it mainly for moving all my stuff around, but it will fit a female greyhound in it ok for short periods. My boy would fit but he would be a bit squashed. I had an older wooden model for carting my stuff around in but it's past it's use by date so I shouted myself a chrissie present. :D
  10. I have just bought an OKS trolley so can't comment on durability etc but I asked about bigger wheels and I was assured the regular ones are fine, bigger would cost a heap more plus make it taller. I had some mods made, at no extra cost. A horizontal bar all around to hang a water bucket on, a split lid and a 1 inch hole in each half of the lid so I can drop a chain through and padlock everything together. I am very happy with my new trolley.
  11. it was a few years ago now, can't really remember, sorry
  12. I got the ones from Clean Run, good prices
  13. But sometimes people have to put there pets in kennels for other reasons then holidays. I did recently because of my daughter's wedding. Usually the dogs come with me to her place, but this one time she didn't want them there. I wasn't going to go against her wishes nor was I going to miss my only child's wedding. So into the kennels they went.
  14. If I had left my pets at that BK I would expect that the people responsible for them would have stayed at the kennels instead of going off to fight fires elsewhere. Their first responsibility was to the animals they were paid to take care of, nothing else. If they truly thought there was nothing they could do to save the boarders and they had to leave to save their own lives, so be it. I would be totally distraught at my pets dieing this way but I also wouldn't want people to die trying to save my pets. However, it appears, from various sources, that a bit of a cavalier attitude was taken to the boarding animals and that I would never forgive. Alphabets post was excellent but I can't help but point out that they stayed and defended, this other mob didn't seem to think that was important.
  15. I ditched them and only have my pup insured now with Woolworths and only for the first two years. After that I'll take my chances like I used to.
  16. It would be poor service if there have been no errors whatsoever by anyone. Buyer, Seller, Australian Post. Only one side of the story here.
  17. so people can't even have a holiday now and why wait 3 weeks to query something?
  18. He won't take himself outside to toilet until he knows that's what he is supposed to do. So you still have to teach him.

simple fix is to crate the dog inside while you are outside. I would be beyond ropable if my child came home and said the dog bit me. What about the kids that are scared of dogs or allergic? A dog in the school ground would have been enough for one child I knew to end up seriously ill from fear. Running around in a playground with a bunch of kids is totally different to being in your home with your granddaughter. And again easily fixed by separating playtimes.
  20. I usually don't decide on homes until 8 weeks of age so rego is often not sent in until then. I would not be worried yet.
  21. I bred Paige and she is Mum to Phoebe and Sweetpea. Hunter is a lovely boy. :D
