Toilet Training Regression And Grinding Teeth
Rebanne replied to ari.g's topic in General Dog Discussion
Dog doors aren't the answer to everything anyway. -
If your Mother wants a dog and that's who is really getting a dog, as you will only see it on weekends, then let your Mum decide what she may like. I would still recomend a nice quiet older dog that has been given up by a family for a genuine reason ( and there are some ) and then I'd be making sure the dog has a nice safe spot to go to when you visit so neither dog or child are over whelmed.

so sorry GB. Lucky Anna to have had you there for her.

Many, many years ago, one of my GSD's had a very small area of hairlessness appear due to demodex mites. there were no injections given but I was given a wash (ivermectin?) and had to apply that for weeks and weeks so I also suggest you continue with the course of treatment. BTW rice and lot's of vegies aren't needed to make up a good food. Hopefully the chicken mince is minced with the bone and not just the meat.

I feed from 3 weeks on and Mum decides when she won't feed them anymore. The bigger the litter the earlier that seems to happen :D

We currently have a little foxy and she doesn't like that either, so I'm thinking if we start off at pup then surely she wouldn't mind it and can see it grow and get use to dogs I knew people who thought if they got a pup their child would be fine. I told them don't do it. Pup ended up in the pound at 12 months of age. I suggest you find friends with nice quiet older dogs and visit them a lot without forcing your child to interact with the dog.

sounds like a dislocation and now that you have put it back into place I would just keep him a little restricted and keep an eye on him. But that was the front foot so what is going on with the back?

Ok folks I'm going to need a hand with the greys on Thursday March 24th. Mainly as a holder as I have the last dog, then first bitch and will need to swap over on the fly. Depending on who wins what may possibly need someone able to take one around the ring for run off. Greyhounds are going to be on around 11ish or a bit later but before lunch. So if you are interested in giving greys a go please let me know :D

How insulting you are!

I think 2 hrs is too much overnight. I've had pups from 4 weeks up. I'd be toileting at your bedtime, then 3 hrs later and then once again in th eearly hrs. So something like 10pm, 1am, then 5am then 7am when you get up.

There are a lot of laws, that if they were actually enforced would go a long way to cleaning things up. No good putting in new laws if they can't enforce the ones they have.

What are you thinking of? What exactly could they be taking back to their kennels? Saliva from human kisses? eta nits? worms? radical opinions? Oh I don't know, parvo springs to mind, seeing as how it can be walked into a home, don't know why it couldn't be walked into an office OffTopic again. DAS pound have a special mat at their entrance which has been soaked in something. I thought it might be to prevent the spread of parvo although I have no idea. Do breeders take special precautions to make sure Parvo isn't walked into their homes? A lot do. Shoes off or you have to walk through a tray of disinfectant. Some don't let puppy buyers visit until after the 1st vacc or they can look but don't touch.

so would you all think it was a great idea if a breeder was carting their pups around from pillar to post trying to get a sale? Goodness knows what those poor dogs are being exposed to and what they are taking back to the kennels.

Take the cone off her while you can watch her. Stitches may be pulling a little. If suture line is clean and dry I would just keep an eye on her. I had a cat that walked sideways for 12 hours trying to escape the stitches. Plus she may not be feeling right because the anesthetic has not yet totally left her system

Beautiful boy! Happy Birthday Benny

Mainly cause the judge wants them shown with ears up. But they are only held up on the stack, judge gets plenty of time to see them in their natural way and some judges do say not to put the ears up.

Half of my backyard is undercover if that helps? Or will it still be better to get a kennel? I would still get a kennel. Wind.

Supercheap auto are advertising a 3 x 3 deluxe gazebo for $139. No idea if they are any good. Last time I looked Bunnings had replacement rooves for the 3 x 3 for around $60.

Special Commission Of Inquiry Into The Greyhound Racing Industry Nsw
Rebanne replied to labadore's topic in In The News
"The Special Commission into Greyhound Racing has been told a diary which "contained very valued information" was seized during a raid in February 2015 on an unidentified trainer who was suspected of using live animals to train greyhounds on his western Sydney property. The chief inspector of the RSPCA, David O'Shannessy, told the commission on Thursday that the society had asked Greyhound Racing NSW to identify the people in the diary, which had a list of Christian names and telephone numbers. GRNSW officials refused to voluntarily hand over to the RSPCA a diary with the names of suspected live baiters." I agree with this. Just because a name was in a diary does not mean they were live baiters. My name and number are in a local greyhound man's possession. He does work on my dogs. I'd be livid if I was tracked down by the RSPCA and would fear for the well being of my dogs. And just because there are idiots on here, NO I do not support live baiting in anyway shape or form. -
