  1. Double post ?? means they posted the same thing twice. Sounds like the pup got a little out of sorts and is now recovering. If that's what it is then eating should be next. What happened on Tuesday? Did they get vaccinated or something out of the ordinary happen?
  2. I would put to sleep. 14 is a grand old age for a shepherd. I would let him go with dignity and love.
  3. Just register him somewhere. No need to re chip when he has a perfectly good one working.
  4. I'd be putting him outside while baby is awake and active. Crating wouldn't be any good unless you can 100% make sure baby doesn't get close enough to put a hand through the bars. Crawling babies are very different to young children but I know that I couldn't rehome a dog to a house with kids now he has shown this behaviour.
  5. because they have to travel as cargo, have rabies injections and quarantine when coming home and all the testing timelines actually mean you would be bringing back bitch and 9 month old puppies!
  6. a whole litter of puppies :-( 1951 356095 Puppy Labrador Retriever Behavioural - Stressed, Anxiety, Timidity, Fearful Lethal Injection Euthanised 24-Feb-2016 1952 356096 Puppy Labrador Retriever Behavioural - Stressed, Anxiety, Timidity, Fearful Lethal Injection Euthanised 24-Feb-2016 1953 356097 Puppy Labrador Retriever Behavioural - Stressed, Anxiety, Timidity, Fearful Lethal Injection Euthanised 24-Feb-2016 1954 356098 Puppy Labrador Retriever Behavioural - Stressed, Anxiety, Timidity, Fearful Lethal Injection Euthanised 24-Feb-2016 1955 356099 Puppy Labrador Retriever Behavioural - Stressed, Anxiety, Timidity, Fearful Lethal Injection Euthanised 24-Feb-2016 1956 356100 Puppy Labrador Retriever Behavioural - Stressed, Anxiety, Timidity, Fearful I shouldn't have looked. 2 greyhounds put down for dental reasons for gawds sake when it's known they can have poor mouths and it's not becaus eof poor feeding practices either. No wonder they are saying they are going to put down 50% of all greyhounds surrendered to them if they use dental for an excuse.
  7. Don't forget birds flying over head can drop stuff. This is what was thought happened to a dog I had.
  8. Yes most are especially after they have been judged and can relax. Most are fully aware that interaction with the public is a given at a Royal. I'll be there on the Monday but I don't know any breeders of the ones you are interested in ETA, just had a quick look and Schnauzer are after whippets. There will be a large number of whippets entered, quite possibly judging will take most of the morning. For the Havanese it looks like they will be on fairly early.
  9. A greyhound would not be a good fit when the only breeds mentioned by the OP were small breeds. Huge difference between chihuahua, french bulldogs, griffons etc and greyhounds.
  10. Hmm so even owning a Greyhound in NSW may be under threat. https://www.thedogs.com.au/NewsArticle.aspx?NewsId=7874
  11. I wouldn't leave it another month I'd be chasing them up now. if you get no joy from the breeder then go to Dogs West ( or whatever they are called ). Do you have proof like a reciept or email from the breeder saying your pup was to come with main papers? Include a copy of that in your correspondence. I am surprised you had to give the breeder a microchip number, did they not chip the pups before selling them?
  12. Maybe just take him out regularly instead of waiting for him to tell you? Of course the fact that he wee's inside while you are away doesn't help but you know that. Could you throw down some old towels for him to wee on, they are easily washed.
  13. I had a dog seriously injured in my back yard once. Took a while to get him over the fear of it happening again. I just kept taking him outside.
  14. exactly Just doesn't make for such a good helaine right now. Which is why it is a headline.
  15. Yes remember the Greyhounds
  16. That is a very different statement to what you posted above. Stop exaggerating and being ridiculous. And I'm no fan of the RSPCA. Their kill stats are abhorrent. But he did not say that every single greyhound that comes to them will be slaughtered no questions asked. Pointing to RSPCA kill stats is classic diversion tactics. Again the industry and its supporters try to just point the finger away from their own failings rather than accept the unacceptable issues from within. This is exactly why shutting down the industry is the only answer. Now, anyone want to provide any evidence of the move to erode pet ownership in the many countries that banned Greyhound racing long ago? Or is that all just scaremongering and sky is falling reactions from those who think that the level of 'wastage' needed to support people gambling is just fine and dandy? I think I know which it is... Could you please post the names of the countries that have banned grey racing? The USA for one has banned it in almost all States for some time. As for your quote - again, that is NOT what Asal said, which is that all Greyhounds will be automatically slaughtered without even being given a chance. I want a source for that quote (there isn't one, beecause it was never said). No they haven't. What has been banned is betting. Big difference.
  17. thanks Steve for the link. I have read so much over the last few weeks I couldn't find a link to save myself
  18. Yep I read the RSPCA quote of 50% will be PTS (slaughtered) due to being not suitable for rehoming. So they have a closed mind already
  19. Why should they? Are you saying they are all liars?
  20. where's the link to the proposed changes?
