You could try this: get a nylon lead the length you want and the plastic pipe nearly the same length minus the hand hold. Cut off about an inch each end. Take the first ring and tie the lead around it in a knot. Thread the lead through the long section then tie the 2nd ring onto the lead with another knot. Leaving the handle free to go over your arm rest.

Bring your professional trainer back and in the meantime make sure your beagle is contained when people come over. A vet trip to make sure there is no pain issues going on would be helpful as well. If he is doing this while away from the house (i.e. on walks) he should also be wearing a muzzle.

Any Mens Sheds near you? They could attach a clip to one end of a bit of pipe and put a handle on the other to hook over your arm rest. Any handy person should be able to rig you up something for minimal cost.

don't know about any road rules but for the leash problem could you thread it trough a length of poly pipe or similar? Could one of the bike attachments like the Springer or Easydog walker be adapted?

at that age I would still be taking pup out to wee, giving a food treat and then let her inside. If she has been out for a while either do as Diva says or, what I do, is walk around the back yard for a few minutes with the pup and they usually go then. If you are not outside with her you don't know when she last went, a little exercise encourages them to go again.

what's a schnoodle? Have you asked the breeder of your puppy for help? Puppy school? I can't recommend a trainer but I'm sure there will be someone along who could. I wouldn't really like to suggest much because it does sound like you need professional help and good on you for seeking it out. Maybe seek your neighbours out and let them know you are trying to fix the problem but it might stay noisy for a bit longer.

Puppy transportation interstate. Costs involved?
Rebanne replied to Maz188's topic in General Dog Discussion
cost depends on size of dog when it's flown -
New puppy has kennel cough (caught before purchasing)
Rebanne replied to LunaC's topic in Puppy Chat
They wouldn't have known the pup was brewing something, breeders don't have a crystal ball. However if this was one of mine I would pay your vet bill/s for this. Maybe you should phone your breeder and talk directly with them. -

A breeder told me I should split up my dogs
Rebanne replied to Geltz's topic in General Dog Discussion
sometimes bitches who have been best friends end up fighting to the death. Many stories of people owning two bitches that end up having to keep them apart for life or rehoming one. That's what she most likely meant. I've kept bitches together with nil problems but I am aware it could happen. -
I don't think there is any insurance that covers pregnancy . I never found one.

200 grams was just a guess. At least it prompted some other answers for you -

I would think no more then 200 grams a week DDD. After 9 weeks he would have lost 1.8 kgs. -
Any wonder Breed Associations get a bad rep?
Rebanne replied to YOLO's topic in General Dog Discussion
You've got a cross bred pup, how can you expect any breed club to give you advise? It's only a guess which dog got to the Mum as no mating was seen. There's only a guess on what the dog (possible sire) is unless they saw that mating as well. Breed clubs are run by volunteers. I would think the Lab club is fairly busy with enquiries for purebred labs. Yes they could have replied differently but you couldn't expect much more then sorry we can't help with your crossbreed pup, maybe ask your vet, hope all goes well, type of reply. Same for the kelpie club (if there is one). -

wow, what a "interesting" post. I'm a breeder and a shower and guess what; I'm a REAL dog owner as are pretty much every shower/breeder I know. Did you not just buy a purebred lab puppy? Did it not come from a registered breeder? Or was it from some BYB? If I was the breeder of your pup I'd be pretty disappointed in your comments. -
same with mine "cept for the training bit LOL

was he digging? Maybe he cut a paw on something. Or broke a nail. Maybe he has had an allergic reaction to something in the garden or the shampoo. Can you normally touch and look at his front feet? Can someone else hold him while you look at his feet? If this is abnormal behaviour then he might need to be checked at the vet.

I prefer to use a credit card reserved for the pets. You can put your monthly premiums on it if you want. You usually have to pay your vet bill first before claiming and then it can take a few weeks to get it back.

How long for the results to come back?

you need to review what was agreed upon when you decided to put down the deposit on a litter not even conceived. You also need to speak to the breeder asap.

When my 1st grey's xray pointed to osteosarcoma my vet said we could do a bone biopsy but they are often false. So we didn't bother. That was in 2004, maybe they are more accurate nowadays. I'm sorry you are going through this and I can't be more help.

I wouldn't underestimate the drive in a show bred grey. Like race breds it's there in varying degrees and it's something I always harp on about when talking to possible puppy buyers.
