I start with some minced chicken frames. I rarely add any milk unless I have some left over formula.

I can't help with 1. As for 2. Yes the breeder has been reasonable. But I would have returned the purchase price to you anyway. But I am under no legal obligation to do so without requesting return of puppy. How long had you had the pup before finding out about the murmur? It is possible the pup did not have a murmur when checked by the breeders vet. As for another litter on the way, is it the same parents? A back to back litter for the dam is permissible under certain rules laid down by the governing state body, assuming your pup is from a registered ANKC breeder. Good luck on Tuesday. Fingers crossed for your family and little girl.

Please research what to feed a very young pup. He needs more biologically appropriate dog food.. Otherwise he's never going to grow correctly and possibly often be sick.

relax, highly unlikely to cause any problems. Feed frozen as Ruralpug suggests or after a normal meal.

If you are putting out your dogs dry food in the morning when you leave and you can't be sure she'll eat it then I wouldn't add eggs etc in case they go off. You could add to her dry food when you are home at weekends. Plenty of people feed raw chicken pieces as a separate meal and would do wonders for her teeth/jaw/wellbeing.

been thinking of you and waiting for news. Congratulations

I'd put her back on what she liked and ate. I only feed supermarket brand dry food to my dogs. (They are also fed other stuff) I do have one dog who is a very reluctant eater. I find a sprinkle of parmesan cheese helps her to eat her meal. I never leave food out. If it's not eaten within a few minutes I pick it up. I'd be adding extra's to her diet and I wouldn't consider it spoiling.

depends what your aims are. My dogs don't socialise with other dogs as such. My expectations are that they don't lose their brains when seeing other dogs/people and can remain calm and walk on by nicely. I don't want my dogs to play nicely with other dogs, I want them to ignore them. My circumstances are different to yours, different breed and multiple dogs, so sort out your goals and go from there.

He be having a full health check up if he was mine. What you have written above does not sound like a healthy puppy. -
Pet Pads For Dogs With Incontinence

try searching bitches britches and similar, plenty of people are making them but I don't have any links. If you are on Facebook ask a breed page for the them. -
You should hear my greyhounds go for it, though we call it rooing, not howling

I had a GSD cross cattle dog (witnessed matings) who looked very much a dingo cross. She was a lovely golden colour. Had several people (pig dog owners) who were very disappointed she was spayed, they were after the 'dingo' part LOL

HELP! My dogs digging is aboit to get me evicted.
Rebanne replied to Digbysmum's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
woah, that is an insane amount of exercise for that dog. And she is your 2nd aggressive dog. Instead of physical exercise try some mental exercise. Exercising the brain tires a dog out - a lot. And I'd look into getting some sort of secure run for her. That would limit her ability to dig and help protect people who visit. "i had an american staffy who was classed as a dangerous dog" -
HELP! 12 Wk Female Puppy - Chronic UTIs
Rebanne replied to peach2310's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
a decent vet should know what an inverted vulva looks like. I'd be taking her to a different practise to get a 2nd opinion. I'd also be talking to her breeder. While I, if I was the breeder, couldn't give you any more advice about an inverted vulva then google could, I would be very concerned about selling a pup that had a UTI at time of sale. -
yes a pet transporter can do the lot for you which is what I would recommend if you have never done anything like it before. You can google NZ import requirements and see what is required. It might be within your abilities to do things yourself and bring the price down.

I've read in a couple of places that 2 dogs were PTS because of what happened while they were in transit. Dog fights was not mentioned but was what I suspected if that is the reason. There is a lot more to this story then is being said IMO. I personally think 110 dogs is too many for any one person to own but those dogs were healthy happy dogs. Even the feet on the pups were clean. Not sure what to believe, the dogs were kept in those conditions full time or only placed there waiting for the RSPCA to load them all up. I believe the 2 week old pup was fed and cared for by an experienced person. And I hated the RSPCA's spiel about what a hard time they had while already flogging off the dogs

Relax! I can't recall any of my girls levels but I don't consider 53 too high. You've had a mating and now you wait.
-
The RSPCA is keeping the pups and the adults are going to rescue.
-
could you ask the breeder of your pup?
-
I return emails pretty much as soon as I see them if only to say I'll get back to you, I'm in the middle of a run of night shifts But as I get so few enquiries for my breed it's hardly a strain. I can imagine having a popular breed and getting many emails or calls per day could be tiring, especially when so many of those would be the one liners. (got pups, how much type emails)

you can always give the suprelorin implant if you wish to decrease hormones.

Poor bloody dog

if 3 weeks old they can be started on a bit of solid food. I start my large breed pups on raw mince. I'd be wondering if the formula is not enough for them and they are dropping their blood sugars. I see you have thought along the same lines. Try solid food.
-
I don't see it much either. I took two of my pups when they were around 10 weeks old if I remember rightly (nearly 10 now). I didn't walk them around but had them crated and toileted them out the back. I also recall a pen of pups ( no idea of age but not teeny tiny ) of a rare breed that someone I know ended up getting one which started them off on a great adventure! It's no different to anywhere else. It's a calculated risk, maybe a bit higher of getting something as so many dogs in one spot, from all over the place.

I think crossed with a kelpie but really who would know. You love her and that's all that matters
