A lot of USA greyhound folk swear by them so we will see
-
I'll try to remember to get a picture.

I've bought one to try for this winter. I go through a towel a dog otherwise
-
sounds about right. Improvement can be very quick.

Is this the 4 foot section? If so I would definitely want it higher. Short term for privacy you could attach some shadecloth with zip ties. Another option is the sections of brushwood/bamboo you can buy which is 5-6 feet high.
-
I wouldn't consider anything under 5 foot for a backyard. It's often a place a dog is out on it's own. 4 foot would be fine for the front yard if someone is out there with the dog. I don't think dogs should be out the front unattended. Where I live a dog rushing at a front fence scaring passerby's can create some problems for dog and owner.

there have been dogs that never regained their fertility, many more that the implant lasted months longer then it was supposed to and of course some dogs that it worked exactly as designed.
-
if you think you might want to breed in the future with your boy then I would advise you to freeze some semen before implanting him. Seems a bit of overkill when you are just babysitting. If the bitch is staying for a long time and may come into season while staying with you, you would still have to keep them separate so they don't mate when you are not there.
-
how often are the dogs allowed into the house? If only at night he might be wanting some attention from the people. He is only young. I'd try playing some indoor games or training (or outdoors) before asking him/expecting him to immediately go into quiet lay down mode.

You need a blood test for heartworm.
-
@mitaall the aussie connections have been taken down. Troy's post is above yours
-
whereabouts do you live @Ricky2? There are heartworm meds around that only treat heartworm and not expensive at all. I use Valuheart for my dogs. $18 for 6 months worth. But you dog needs a heartworm test first at the vet.
-
bit hard to tell what it may be. Maybe trying bathing in warm water first off. She could have laid in something that irritated her. If it worsens or continues then a vet visit would be in order.
-
I think Winky was a bit overwhelmed with the surrounds.
-
From comments from other breeders it appears all stolen info has been taken down. Many thanks Troy.

All the Greyhound listings have been removed. Both website and FB page were still working for me.

A cup weighs over 200 grams. So maybe 1/2 cup for 2 meals. Raw for the other. Ask your vet for their opinion on your pups body condition.
-
Do what JRG suggests and see what the guide says. Now often you will need to feed a bit more or less depending on the puppy. I like my babies to be a little bit plump, not fat. At 10 weeks my pups are still being fed 3 times a day. At least one meal is raw. I have a different breed but I would suggest 2 chicken wings would make one meal. 1/2 dozen necks another. The other 2 meals would be 1/2 to 1 cup of the dry, with some sardines, eggs, puppy milk added. Hard to give exact quantities. Has pup been seen by a vet? Up to date with worming and vaccinations? Is puppy happy and running around?

This post is nearly 8 years old. Best to start a new one if wanting up to date info -
Did the breeder not provide you with a diet sheet? You can add lots of things to his dry food, like sardines and eggs. I would also make at least one meal raw food like chicken necks or wings. As your pup grows he can have raw turkey pieces as well.

popped out or burst?

I've never had much success with anything for car sickness. Best I've had was making sure not to feed the dog for at least 12 hours before hand. Mine have all settled better with age but it's not much fun.
-
at 15 what is more risky? I would guess the heat. If Rheneas likes the ZD's and they help keep him comfortable then I would say go for it.

Trouble is only 12... inoperable tumour... grrr!

Sweet dreams Trouble. You go knowing you are very much loved. Enjoy those treats! -
You would be best to go with a pet transport company. If one single t is not crossed or an i not dotted then the dog can be sent back. It is not cheap to bring a dog into the country.
