Pssst....My current site is template based and hosting and domain cost me less than $90 per year. But yes, I agree that for somebody who doesn't want to go it alone, the DOL sites are cheap and easy. I had gone it alone for several years but now have a DOL website, very quick and easy to use. Couple of things I would like different bit overall an excellent way to advertise your dogs.

Thanks Kanati. Tumba is an hr closer so.... Miller did some mad zoomies on the weekend and pulled up a tad sore so not sure if I'll be showing him, he has improved each day so but Ferny is good.

one out of my four can't tolerate chicken necks, everything else is fine. For the oldie I wouldn't change too much, swap some mince for the wet and I wouldn't even bother about vegies, they are not essential at all. Add an egg to the dry every few days, some sardines or mackeral and a bit of mince.

Ear-gluing - A Different Question Than Stitchs
Rebanne replied to Trisven13's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I will confess to feeling the same way about the hairspray . I have a breed where very little is done and the most that is done is done by me. My breeder does nothing other than brush them and occasionally strip out their ears. I use a foam shampoo to clean their coat without softening it and brush up the fur on their legs but that really is it with my breed which may be why I feel this way more. what about that other stuff you use on their coats Trisven or have you stopped using it The stuff you were brushing in, like a mousse? I use a mousse that cleans their coat - is that what you mean? It is used as a bath so that the coat doesn't go soft. I was using some gel on their legs but found it made no difference so I just brush it up now. mousse/gel I'm a total novice to hair stuff -

Thanks, that helped define a few things. I want an opening to the side and a flat, slightly sloping roof.

I want another kennel or two but getting hold of one in the size I want is proving a bit difficult. So I am thinking of building my own. Besides marine ply what other ply is waterproof? Should I build a frame then use weatherboards? I am quite a handy person but only have a basic hand saw and drill to work with and have never built something that needs to be so strucually correct so it doesn't fall apart within a few days or weeks.

Any photographers coming who will take some nice stacked and gaiting photo's of my dogs? Your camera or mine.

2 greyhound sisters, both maidens, mine using 20 yo frozen semen had 2 pups, the other, using semen about 5 -6 yo had 11, both sister's were part of a litter of 13 conceived using 10 yo frozen semen on a maiden bitch.

I can understand the lack of photo's becuase they might not be computer savvy enough but they can do emails and at the very least should have been in regular touch. How can they choose which pup would be best for your family if they don't even bother talking to you?

Your greyhound will be fine outside as long as it has enough coats on and a good snug kennel. Winter nights here can often be minus 5 or 6 degrees and mine do fine If you have cats I would only adopt from an organisation that actually fosters their greyhounds with cats.

Introducing An 8 Month Puppy To My Dogs.
Rebanne replied to Crazy Daisy's topic in General Dog Discussion
first things first, at 8 months of age your new dog is no longer a puppy in the eyes of other dogs. So puppy license has run out. I would separate when you are not there to supervise for a few days as Freddy may not be used to or like a dog who is all over him like Ruff may be. Also be careful if the two dogs do get on like a house on fire and rumble and tumble for ever, Daisy might get hurt in the melee. Freddy is ;) Good luck -

New Championship Title For Neutered Dogs
Rebanne replied to capanash's topic in General Dog Discussion
Perhaps those who would do this should first ask themselves what it will mean for owners of pedigreed dogs who are encouraged to try showing and who enter the same class only to find it being shown against their dogs by an experienced handler? what's the difference in being new to showing an entire dog? Same thing happens, neuter or entire, it could be your very 1st show but you could be in straight away mixing it with the big boys. -
New Championship Title For Neutered Dogs
Rebanne replied to capanash's topic in General Dog Discussion
actually I had a couple of judges early on that took pity on me, more likely my dog!, and made me go around again, after telling me how to do better, so some judges already help the new comers.
