A Collar Question For Sighthound Owners
Rebanne replied to ruthless's topic in General Dog Discussion
Mine vary from 1 1/2 inch to 2 inch all the way around and they aren't lined, no coat on greyhounds that can get matted :D Mine never wear a slip collar, only the proper martingales that are fully adjusted and only the ones Gail Wild, a greyhound person, makes. eta the collars are the same width all the way around, the 2 inch ones are for the boys, the smaller ones for the girls -

Today Miller got the last points needed for his Aus Ch title. Miller is my "first born", the first pup from the first litter. The journey has had a couple of rough spots in it but we weathered them together. My bouncing baby boy. Aust Ch Brantarby Blast From The Past (AI)

Who's Doing The Seymour Double This Weekend?
Rebanne replied to cazzie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Me and the greyhounds are entered for the weekend, going for sure Sat, not sure about Sunday yet. -
what pup paid for the stud fee and/or the surgical AI? My last, and so far only litter, I had a stud fee, surgical AI, c-section and all the other normal costs associated with raising a litter. Bitch had 2 pups, one sold and one kept, where's my profit?

some people may not advertise the price in case it tempts thieves. If people don't ask the price in their 1st approach to me I tell them, we both might as well know early on if the price is within their budget.

Women Injured And Animals Killed In Overnight Fires (caboolture Qld)
Rebanne replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
Lighting a candle is a symbol of hope. The threads about Jed are full of hope that she recovers well & that her dogs & other pets are safe. It was a fitting suggestion someone made, to light a candle...& raise a glass...for her. Thank you Mita I was just about to reply when I saw your post, you said it so much better than I could have I'm afraid I struggle to find the right words sometimes in these situations to each their own, I just find the thought of burning something for burns victims, not my cup of tea, sorry don't really have the words either to express myself properly -

Mvkc Shows In August At Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre

Were you with Sway on the first day??? I'm sure you were next to us but maybe I'm thinking of a different show. I just remember the rain and BBJ staying over. we are getting old I was with Sway and you and BBJ were over the far side, that bit I remember cause we only had one gazebo the Friday because we both thought the other had the 2nd one -
 Congratulations!

Oh I can think of a few reasons, a donation to the local club, a nice day out with friends and like minded people, valuable experience for yourself and your dog (if needed).

I know I was there but I don't remember the weather, maybe cause Sway had her heater with her and we were sharing -
if you are happy with your dogs and how they have done on the food you have been feeding why change?

:mad the OP's dog is a rude dog and I can't fathom why they think it it ok to behave this way -
only if you are prepared to travel. It's the same wherever you are, if you want to go to something you find a way, if you don't you won't. I am passing up 5 shows within 2 and 1/2 hrs of me later this year cause nights away, costs and having 2 aged dogs to look after at home, my choice.

You have no idea if this happened ( the bolded bit ) such awful assumptions being made in this thread. Need I say that experience goes hand in hand with the comments that I have made. I do not make such comments lightly. Yes, you could be right Rebanne and then again I could be right. I guess, at the end of the day, we will never know for sure. you have no experience with this person though so have no idea
