Are Yearly Vaccinations Neccessary?
Rebanne replied to CreamyPuff's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Once my dogs have had their booster at around 15 months I tend not to vaccinate unless needed, ie boarding kennels. I have in the past given the dogs the odd parvo only shot. -
My greys like nothing better than ripping apart a soft toy, some of which have been shaped like a cat. This has not translated into ripping apart my cats and all are frequently left alone together. When the time comes for a new kitty or two to join the household I will just use common sense in introducing etc. Surely you don't let newly arrived fosters free range?

C.c.c. Qld's New Breeder Accredited System
Rebanne replied to Swanbrook's topic in General Dog Discussion
totally disagree, comments about an organisation do not automatically include their members or employee's. I disaprove of a lot of things the RSPCA does but that does not include the vast majority of the people connected with them. -
from the photo's posted I think Slinky has much more greyhound in her then that roodog

As A Breeder, Are You Running A Business?
Rebanne replied to Puppoochi's topic in Breeders Community
I don't see how I can be running a business when I might only have "goods" for sale every 2 or 3 years -
specially the 2nd one from the left!

it means if they went through the "barrier", crossed the line, they endured the shock they got because they perceived the reward as worth it. Crossing the line (and getting another shock) to come home mightn't be so rewarding

Puppy Lost Melbourne Airport Yesterday
Rebanne replied to witheverythingiam's topic in General Dog Discussion
are they saying someone else took the puppy? that it was stolen? lost to me means it got out of the crate and is running around the airfield -
means nothing, plenty like to keep their "friends" under a certain number for instance.

I thought it was 2 days after ovulation, cause my vet stressed 61 days is D day. And under no circumstances was I to allow her to go past 63 days. The books I have on the subject also say 61 days from insemination for frozen semen.

At the 2009 Melb Royal there were 2 greyhound bitches in full standing heat shown. One of them was mine. I told the owners of the wolfies peering over the benches that Fern was in season. We rearranged the dogs so their boys were furtherest away from Fern, it wasn't very far but there was no trouble from any dog at any time during the very long day. The judge was told as well when we went in.

quoting you so you can't delete your woe is me post

you've been here 8 weeks and you are an expert on all things DOL face it most people wouldn't bother replying to you cause you have no idea what you are talking about and keep going off on woe is me tangents
-
maybe you could have a look in other forums like the training one, you might find what you want there
-
no one can tell you for sure what breed/s you dog might have in her. But I reckon there is a lot of greyhound in her, at least 3/4, and they were bred to hunt.
-
How do you know why people didn't post here? Lots of people read topics and don't reply, and they don't reply for lots of reasons. Why are you taking it so personally? Frankly with this last post of yours I wonder why I am bothering to reply to you at all.

My nearly 11 year old greyhound has not long had this but it was very mild, much like malamum described. He was basically fine by the end of the day but I have noticed that his gait is still not quite right, very minor but it's there.

C.c.c. Qld's New Breeder Accredited System
Rebanne replied to Swanbrook's topic in General Dog Discussion
Personally I agree with whoever said something along the lines of making it standard for everyone. Or how about they actually enforce the rules and regulations that are already available to them to start with and see if that sorts some of them out.
