he might be the only one from one of your sires, something to keep in mind. I know you won't let him suffer. Never having to have used brandy I think it is like a heart starter, bit of a shock to the system. As a non-drinker it would make me gasp. I was thinking of that thread, glad you found it.

try giving regular drops of your glucose mixture for a bit. I'm all for not letting a pup, or any animal suffer, but this is a pretty special litter, I'd be fighting for a bit longer.

the requirements are pinned above

I cover the bed with the spares doona cover is not enough to stop the drips going through to the doona. I'm not the fussiest person and a bit of blood never hurt but I didn't like the doona having all these blood spots on it. Dry cleaning didn't remove them. So I have multiple layers on the bed.

depends how much you want to help him to fight

I just put a few spare sheets and polar fleece throws on top of the bed.

Thanks LizT, at this point we are unsure of the grade of heart mumur, am hoping we get more info next week, her regular vet last checked her heart about 2 months ago & told us there was no problems, so that's why we are a little annoyed & confused. We are just hoping the vet can find a solution to safely manage both her heart & ear problems, & that we have her around for a long time to come. There well not have been any problems then. Heart murmers can come and go. I had a dog show one, not long after doing an ET, then it disappeared again.

Routine Worming And Flea Preventitive
Rebanne replied to mushka's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I do heartworm on a 45 day cycle usually but as it has been so wet with so many mozzies around I did do monthly over the summer months. I always treat for fleas and internal parasites seperately. I did uses frontline for fleas yesterday only because one of my dogs had been at a house recently and it was discovered that the dog and cat there both had a lfea on them. I only treat for fleas on a need to basis. So it could be months and months in between treatments. I don't worm that often either, only when I think of it, about twice a year, maybe 3 times at the most. -
lets hope it all works and Lucy is around for quite a bit longer

he's lovely Huga

be aware that some meds are not meant to be ground up, doing so alters the action/availablity/strength etc

There is no way I would allow a Uni or the RSPCA to tell me what I could or couldn't breed. I'd give it up first. As for submitting a list of sires, pity the rare breed person who would be struggling to find one suitable dog in the country let alone several.

I could ask likewise of you. Just because my pets are shown does not make them objects.

I've owned 3 males now, none have marked, none desexed before 12 months but have had a female marker!

Help Required With Co-ownership Agreement Please
Rebanne replied to ashaflynn's topic in Breeders Community
I am hoping to put a pup out on co-ownership from my next litter. Sway's is clear and concise, a couple of minor tweaks to suit me and it's done. -

ask the stud owner to give you an introduction to the bitches owner/s and a reference
-
I am not surprised to hear that, in fact I expected you to say you knew a bad vet. why? I don't think he is a good dog owner but he is actually good at his job.

I know a vet whose dog was a regular visitor to the pound. I belong to the SA Whippet and Greyhound club, which is the nearest thing to a breed club greyhounds have, and am known to 2 members only, who have never been to my house. There are good GSD breeders who are not a member of the GSD club, there are plenty of other good people who are not members of their breed clubs either. So being a member of such and such a club is not a big deal to me. My son-in-law was so excited to recently get two MCG members to sign their names for him to apply for membership. They are fellow work mates, he has just started there, certainly has not been there long enough for them to really know him. My SIL was going to get them to sign the forms for my daughter as well, they have never met her.

so if a breeder wanted more from you, you would or wouldn't provide it? For instance, your being a MDBA member means very little to me, I'd want to know about you not just what clubs you are a member of. A very common reference is a Club membership. Not just for getting puppy but for almost anything you might give a reference for, like getting into Uni, even some banks for home loans take Club memberships as a reference and so forth. No where did she say it was the only thing needed. Lighten up please. I wasn't asking you, so don't tell me to lighten up. I asked a valid question. Membership of a club tells me nothing about how a person might treat/care for an animal. Lots of clubs you only have to tick the boxes and pay a fee. The MDBA asks all members to agree to a Code of Conduct so you would know a lot more about me than someone who did not agree to a Code of Conduct. You can view the Responsible Pet Owner Code of Conduct here http://www.mdba.net.au/component/content/article/51.html no it's tell's me you said you would abide, not that you actually do. And it's the generic "you", not actually yourself.
