I have one adult girl who can be quite fussy, prefers dry to raw more often than not, her two pups, now adults, are pigs when it comes to meals and my oldest male eats better when fed inside Foster pups I have had were all good eaters and all were fed a mix of raw and dry. Don't let them being greyhounds throw you, they are still dogs
-
Add raw to their diet. 1 to 1 1/3 cups of dry per day sounds a bit light on to me. As for their weights, I do like my pups on the lean side, same as the adults, most of the rib cage should be covered with a hint of the back 3 showing. Vertabrae can show no matter how much you feed. Don't skimp on their food but yes they need to grow slow, so keep them lean but fed. And yes they can be great bench surfers right from an early age For more info PM GAPVic, she breeds racing greys and has just bred her 6th litter.

You can start weaning the pups now. Get rid of the tin food. Buy good human grade mince and mix with milk, make a pink slushie. Soak the dry longer so the liquid is absorbed. Don't give them straight cows milk unless well diluted. Make sure they are pooing and weeing ok.

also try putting the lead on before meals and let her walk towards her food. I take it she is used to wearing a collar? ie you are not trying to add several new things at once?

he might be the only one from one of your sires, something to keep in mind. I know you won't let him suffer. Never having to have used brandy I think it is like a heart starter, bit of a shock to the system. As a non-drinker it would make me gasp. I was thinking of that thread, glad you found it.

try giving regular drops of your glucose mixture for a bit. I'm all for not letting a pup, or any animal suffer, but this is a pretty special litter, I'd be fighting for a bit longer.

the requirements are pinned above

I cover the bed with the spares doona cover is not enough to stop the drips going through to the doona. I'm not the fussiest person and a bit of blood never hurt but I didn't like the doona having all these blood spots on it. Dry cleaning didn't remove them. So I have multiple layers on the bed.

depends how much you want to help him to fight

any group 4 results please

I just put a few spare sheets and polar fleece throws on top of the bed.

Thanks LizT, at this point we are unsure of the grade of heart mumur, am hoping we get more info next week, her regular vet last checked her heart about 2 months ago & told us there was no problems, so that's why we are a little annoyed & confused. We are just hoping the vet can find a solution to safely manage both her heart & ear problems, & that we have her around for a long time to come. There well not have been any problems then. Heart murmers can come and go. I had a dog show one, not long after doing an ET, then it disappeared again.

Routine Worming And Flea Preventitive
Rebanne replied to mushka's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I do heartworm on a 45 day cycle usually but as it has been so wet with so many mozzies around I did do monthly over the summer months. I always treat for fleas and internal parasites seperately. I did uses frontline for fleas yesterday only because one of my dogs had been at a house recently and it was discovered that the dog and cat there both had a lfea on them. I only treat for fleas on a need to basis. So it could be months and months in between treatments. I don't worm that often either, only when I think of it, about twice a year, maybe 3 times at the most. -
lets hope it all works and Lucy is around for quite a bit longer

he's lovely Huga

be aware that some meds are not meant to be ground up, doing so alters the action/availablity/strength etc

There is no way I would allow a Uni or the RSPCA to tell me what I could or couldn't breed. I'd give it up first. As for submitting a list of sires, pity the rare breed person who would be struggling to find one suitable dog in the country let alone several.
