  1. well you could just leave the gazebo where it is and walk to the next ring, it's not like it's miles
  2. I went to Bunnings and bought a couple of sheets of chipboard with the white stuff on it, then cut them into 4 equal sizes and I screwed it all together with brackets. Also cut out a door area and hinged it. No floor, it sits on some cheap lino from a $2 shop and a couple of tarps.
  3. Congratulations on 2 little girls Prydenjoy
  4. we have had sponorship from one vet for several years and another has told us they would like to sponsor the show next year too. I checked with the club that the first vet doesn't have exclusive rights so I will be trying to get money out of both of them The classes will go ahead anyway but if anyone to make a donation towards a sash I won't knock them back :D
  5. long range heads up here but confirmed at our show meeting today that Ovens Valley Club at Myrtleford, Vic will once again hold neuter classes 18 and 18a at next years champ shows March 31st and April 1st 2012
  6. depends what was agreed to when the semen was purchased. I have been trying to buy FS for around 6 months now, long story, but the deal was/is I will get enough to cover any misses. So at least 2 breeding units from each dog I am getting semen from. It hasn't been discussed yet what happens to the extra units if the bitch concieves 1st time around but I would expect to pay another stud fee in that case.
  7. all from me too, quoting saves me typing out the same thing :D
  8. :D we're good for the time being, Fern just had a good tea, did pass a huge big glob of mucous earlier and the belly has sunk really low, I doubt she will hold on till her due date
  9. have a good read here: showring FAQ will give you lots of info. Make sure your girl is freshly bathed and well groomed, no dead hair. Make sure her nails are clipped short. Teeth clean. You'll need a show lead as well. When and where is your first show, there may be Doler's going who can help. If you can get to a show handling class or two beforehand that would be helpful. You will need to stack (stand) your dog and follow the judge's instuctions. He might want you to go out and back or do a triangle or a circle. Tell the steward and the judge this is your first time, they will be very helpful. And remember this is a hobby to have fun with, so take a deep breath and just enjoy being out there with your dog.
  10. um the thread is about dew claws not the merits or otherwise of tail docking
  11. um it's in the subject heading, raising two pups together.
  12. they are so cute! I am getting very puppy clucky, not sure Fern is though
  13. I use a scoff stopper for my piggy boy and yes it works very well
  14. I've got one I no longer need if you are interested.
  15. congratulations, what breed?
  16. as long as the cost of whatever is done is borne by the people that use KCC Park and would benefit from it. ie put a levy on the entries. I very rarely show there and would be less then impressed if I had to pay extra fee's, ie higher membership to cover it, but would pay a levy on an entry. Maybe they should just ditch it? Not all shows have PA system's.
  17. lots of puppies coming your way then
  18. no that's not likely but Fern seems to have sprung udders overnight Poor girls :D
  19. pics? Poor Lucy, hope it clears up quickly
  20. as long as master 7 is prepared to take his share, oh, lets say 90 of them Master 7 is ecstatic at the thought - but I know WHO will end up cleaning up the puppy poo, so will regretfully decline the honour on his behalf... :D life is so unkind
