Increasing Milk Supply For Lactating Bitch
Rebanne replied to Bilbo Baggins's topic in Breeders Community
my scales went kaput when I weighed the pups the first time so none were weighed until I got a replacement. I went by look and feel and they were/are all fine, even the one I lost at a week old. Have since weighed them for worming but that's it. -
desxing will be well worth it as once he is more mature and going out to jobs with you, you would never know if there is a bitch in season nearby. Even if you kept him confined, he might very well decide to let everyone know what he thinks of this treatment by barking his head off! So to speak :D I'd get him desexed between 6 and 8 months

hope the neighbour keeps his little girl inside a bit more often then when you are at work or he might come home to a surprise.

Medibank Pet Insurance Existing Policy Holders
Rebanne replied to **Super_Dogs**'s topic in General Dog Discussion
I have two dogs with Medibank but if it's true they have cut their coverage to 80% I will look elsewhere for the next dog. I use the petplan free insurance for my pups and have been thinking of using them for my dogs as they also include alternative treatment, which Medibank doesn't. -
Fingers crossed all goes well from here on in. Fern is going great guns, I have just started to offer a bit of food to the pups to ease the burden on her a little.

agree and so does Fern, only way she would eat it was to mix it in with stinky tinned puppy food. Next time I will use capsules. -

What did GD stand for Rebanne? Graduate Dog and Graduate Dog Excellent. Didn't get as far as UD back then so not sure what it was. Not all clubs allowed associates to trial and I do remember there was one trial that was only for associates! thanks! I was imagining "Good Dog" I think UD was PD but can't remember what it stood for, was a long time ago

Any ANKC associate can compete in obedience and agility. Outside of Qld, that's been the case ever since I became involved. How is that ia "privilege"? You pay your money, you register your dog and you are entitled to enter alongside any other ANKC registered dog. when the assoicate register started up in Vic the dogs didn't have to be desexed, though that was changed quite quickly. My 1st associate dog was not allowed to compete in the same ring as ANKC dogs, we had to have seperate rings and their titles were different as well. GD instead of CD for example. all well and good for those that have specialities for their dogs to compete at and the time and money to be able to attend.

I agree, vets have told me how it un hygienic etc. My partner told me when i went away for a week my boy slept on my pillow, I think he was fretting. SO cute but I ended up just throwing the pillow case away. why didn't you just wash it dog sleeps on the bed anyway I often have a couple of dogs and cats on my bed, even when Fern is in season; just put an extra blanket on the bed for her.
