Murray Valley Kennel Club Shows August 5,6 & 7 Update
Rebanne replied to jan seary's topic in General Dog Discussion
there's a small part of me that's sad that Fern is sitting these shows out but the bigger part is stoked that I can sit back and watch lots and lots of lovely dogs parade past my eyes. Very happy to be a spectator ( and maybe dog holder ) -
my parents had a nasty little dog living next door to them years ago. Children were regularly rushed at and would run onto the street without looking to avoid being bitten. It was a street that lead to the local primary school and had reasonable amount of traffic as well.

what about a reptile heated cord threaded though channels sewn in a pillow case? Not my idea but I read it somewhere and it always struck me as a simple thing to do.

it's been -2 here the last two nights and the pups are as warm as toast when they come out of the kennel for thier last feed at night. I have the bottom of a plastic igloo type kennel inside a bigger wooden one, lined with blankets, with a gazebo over the top and a bale off straw spread over the grass. 5 weeks old tomorrow and Fern gave them the flick 2 weeks ago.

mine went out to the puppy yard last weekend, I have been so sick, it just had to be done. They were 4 weeks old. That 1st night was awful, I fretted something shocking, but they were and are fine. Now they come back in to the house, 2 at a time, during the day for socialisation. I am letting them out into the backyard when I take their food out and today I have left them out a couple of times with Fern only while they explore and I come inside. When I'm out with them all the dogs are out. It is so funny watching 3 adult greyhounds trying not to stand on these itty bitty pups.

Does Anyone Know Where This Lead Came From?

or have a committee, who totally agrees that the closing date is the closing date.

Greyhound boys can be a bit slow, Miller was around 10 - 12 weeks, starting to give me grey hairs, but you could feel it. I pulled out of a sale when the pup only had one down at 12 weeks and the other one was no where to be found. At 6 months I couldn't see it coming down.

thanks people for the links so far, but I am after proper martingale collars not the type from black dog and definitely no chain. It's the owners money I'll put in the overseas links as well. :D
-
Ok I did a search but so many sites are no longer viable, so I thought I'd ask here for current web sites that sell martingale collars suitable for a greyhound and if they happen to sell coats that would be good too. No half martingales and no chain, thanks I have anniek's greyhound safety net site but want a couple more to send the links to some puppy buyers. eta all sites here and OS

low costs does not automatically mean they are cutting corners or compromising the animals heatlh.

Crate Dilemma - Should I Get Another?
Rebanne replied to Aztec Gold's topic in General Dog Discussion
I've had a few puppies that I've crate trained now. My bedroom is right off the loungeroom. I have a crate in my bedroom and when the pups are little, have another crate in the loungeroom, only a few feet apart. No way was I lugging a metal crate around the house. I would still use a proper metal crate over a Bunnings one for young dogs. Crates fold up and are easy to store in the shed. -

I think you might need to be there earlier , otherwise who is going to handle your first daughter ???????? Provided of course we actually get there ....... and get my feet wet? I don't think so if you do manage to get here I will consider handling Paige for you, wouldn't want her to think I don't love her anymore just cause I have new ones here -
congratulations
-
my smallest were the quickest too. Fern no longer is feeding hers, she gave up a week ago and I gave up insisting 3 days ago

which has no bearing at all on the subject. GAP greyhounds are not stuffed toys, they are still dogs and like a lot of dogs, some don't like possums, cats, birds etc.
-
one would hope they would be actually received before next Sunday.

Dogs Shot By Police In Kenwick, One Dead
Rebanne replied to White Shepherd mom's topic in In The News
me too A police dog is a serving member of the police force and such deserves every protection that a human officer would get. It doesn't bother me that a vicious dog has been killed. A dog that the owner knew was vicious hence his comments. -
how laughable, not everyone can get their mat delivery fee free. I'm sure some people get stuff from Dyzney as well without delivery costs. But a large % have to pay delivery for any goods they buy.
