  1. Thanks Rebanne How is your baby going? our 1st show is the Melbourne Royal and I have 6 entered  I think I must be mad. Two will be with their new owners, I will have 3 ( 2 going to their new homes afterwards ) and one who will be there unless sold beforehand.
  2. my 6 week old greyhound pups, around 4 kilos in weight, got their first chicken necks today, went down very well
  3. there has only been one side of the story put forward so no real way of knowing exactly what has gone on.
  4. 2 have gone into pet homes, 5 into show/pet homes, and Alice who also has good show potential :D
  5. we have had quite a bit of rain so far, radar says it's clearing but we'll see. No idea on time for the seminar.
  6. all but one, Alice - Winter Wonderland, is available.
  7. 6 week old stacked shots and their registered names are here http://www.pbase.com/rebanne/2011winterlitter but this is my keeper, Stirling:
  8. here's my keeper at 6 weeks of age - Stirling :D
  9. there's a small part of me that's sad that Fern is sitting these shows out but the bigger part is stoked that I can sit back and watch lots and lots of lovely dogs parade past my eyes. Very happy to be a spectator ( and maybe dog holder )
  10. my parents had a nasty little dog living next door to them years ago. Children were regularly rushed at and would run onto the street without looking to avoid being bitten. It was a street that lead to the local primary school and had reasonable amount of traffic as well.
  11. that's what I am thinking with 4 greyhounds it's a great hound line up
  12. can't wait to catch up again Anne! We are in the seminar on the friday Lets hope there is a few greys there!!! I'm in Saturdays seminar. I'll pick your brains before I go.
  13. what about a reptile heated cord threaded though channels sewn in a pillow case? Not my idea but I read it somewhere and it always struck me as a simple thing to do.
  14. it's been -2 here the last two nights and the pups are as warm as toast when they come out of the kennel for thier last feed at night. I have the bottom of a plastic igloo type kennel inside a bigger wooden one, lined with blankets, with a gazebo over the top and a bale off straw spread over the grass. 5 weeks old tomorrow and Fern gave them the flick 2 weeks ago.
  15. mine went out to the puppy yard last weekend, I have been so sick, it just had to be done. They were 4 weeks old. That 1st night was awful, I fretted something shocking, but they were and are fine. Now they come back in to the house, 2 at a time, during the day for socialisation. I am letting them out into the backyard when I take their food out and today I have left them out a couple of times with Fern only while they explore and I come inside. When I'm out with them all the dogs are out. It is so funny watching 3 adult greyhounds trying not to stand on these itty bitty pups.
  16. lovely, so cute. Puppies are doing well here too
  17. or have a committee, who totally agrees that the closing date is the closing date.
  18. Greyhound boys can be a bit slow, Miller was around 10 - 12 weeks, starting to give me grey hairs, but you could feel it. I pulled out of a sale when the pup only had one down at 12 weeks and the other one was no where to be found. At 6 months I couldn't see it coming down.
  19. thanks people for the links so far, but I am after proper martingale collars not the type from black dog and definitely no chain. It's the owners money I'll put in the overseas links as well. :D
  20. Ok I did a search but so many sites are no longer viable, so I thought I'd ask here for current web sites that sell martingale collars suitable for a greyhound and if they happen to sell coats that would be good too. No half martingales and no chain, thanks I have anniek's greyhound safety net site but want a couple more to send the links to some puppy buyers. eta all sites here and OS
