maybe enlarge the area you are contacting the vets etc cause if they have been stolen they could be anywhere I really feel for the owners

I have a riding crop and I don't hesitate to use it. If a stray dog comes within reach they get it. But mainly I take my greys to the local slipping track, never bothered there. :D

it justs gets worse, feel so sorry for the owners and people close to them, as well as very concerned for the girls well being.

Have your dogs been injured because they were wearing a muzzle? How do you know it was because of the muzzle? Have they been in fights without the muzzle and fared better? Was it the same kind of fight as the ones with the muzzle? Sorry folks, I stand by this. I don't think I could take a dog out in public that I knew might injure another dog or person without a muzzle. Aside from the fact that I couldn't handle how vigilant I would need to be, I couldn't live with myself if the dog seriously injured someone or another dog. Not just so I can rest assured that if a dog as bad as or worse than mine comes along my dog might be less screwed. Particularly when I don't even know if my dog would be less screwed. Sorry, but I value the safety of all dogs and people, not just me and mine. If there's a greater chance that my dog will cause damage than that my dog will take damage, I would muzzle. My dogs are not more important than everyone else's. Some of my dogs have to be muzzled by law not because they might bite anything. So why should they be be left pretty well defenceless if they were attacked. My other stratergy would be to let go of the lead. And no my greyhounds have never been injured or injured another person or dog. It's only common sense that a dog wearing a muzzle, null and voiding one's of it's most effective ways of defense, is going to come off second best against a dog without one. Unless it can run away. My dogs are more important to me then some attacking mutt, that's for sure.

oh yes, I have and will slip a muzzle off a greyhound if there is an off lead dog anywhere near them. I've also taken a lead off a haltie and put it on the collar so the mouth is totally free. So far I have always had the time to do this and a few choice words and body action from me has been enough to see the loose dog on it's way. No way will I penalise my dog by leaving a muzzle on if there's any chance it will be attacked.

The top buy one looks ok too. It will be for the civilised older dogs, pegged down. Wouldn't put a pup in one yet. ETA I thought of using the Bunnings ones, I have heaps, might still end up doing so.

I've got large breed puppies here, 4 greyhound pups, 10 and 1/2 weeks old. They had their last feed of puppy food yesterday, bag is finished. Now they are getting 2 feeds per day of Bonnie adult or working dog and one feed of chicken necks. I've always had large breed dogs and once the puppy food was finished around the 10 to 12 week mark that was that. I might add that since they were weaned they have had adult and puppy dry food on alternative feeds, so have never been soley on puppy food.

I use valuheart for heartworm, treat for fleas if I see any and worm every 3 or 4 months. I never use a combo treatment and always have a day or two between medications if doing more than the one. ETA I don't start heartworm treatment until 4 or 5 months of age, depending when the next tablet is due. I treat 6 weekly.

I looked in Bunnings today and couldn't find anything at all similar I did but they were a lot more than the 31.30 I paid my local Bunnings is just a store not a super store quite good but not as good as the real big ones

I never say any difference with either of the pastes. I tried it on a dog who was a bit stressed with car travel.

My very first dog over 30 years was the result of a bitch jumping the fence to get to the dog tied up. So you need to know your bitch can't get out as well as a dog not getting in.

I saw them years ago on an english web site but haven't seen them in the flesh.

How do you crush them? My guess would be stick your foot on them. I am so going to do this next week when I pick up the frames I have ordered

I taped a bunnings panel to the box, slid a broom handle through it and rested the end on the desk and made a loop with some tie wire on the actual lamp and taped it to the broom handle. Lamp was plugged into a thermostat so no need to move it up and down. ETA missing word
