  1. they changed the parents names No, the breeder had two litters on the ground, they thought there wasn't a pup available from the parents Talien originally chose, so they offered her a pup from the other litter, at pick up they told her the pup was coming from the original parents as one had become available to her oh, thanks
  2. I think you have to start the daily one straight away. Monthly kills for the previous month, daily is that day. It is a long time since I switched around a couple of times between monthly and daily but that's how I remember doing it. Daily starts the day after the monthly, the monthly can start a month after the last daily. They don't forward protect.
  3. I use valuheart for my dogs, just does heartworm.
  4. depends which state, in Vic breeders sign the back of the rego form and hand it over to the new owners, then it is up to them to transfer the dog
  5. not always fool proof. I worked in a pound/shelter and we had one dog come in. I scanned it, no chip. 3 days later the owner sauntered in and went ballastic at me cause I hadn't rang her to tell her dog was in cause he's chipped you know. I scanned the dog again in front of her, no chip. She insisted there was a chip so nearly 10 minutes later we found it. Scanner was working fine, before and after this dog, no idea why finding that chip was so hard. At least the next time he came in I recognised him and didn't even bother scanning him, just rang his owner who was none to happy to come and get him again! Two of my dogs chips have moved. One after 4 years has migrated, the other was only in a couple of week before it moved, very disappointing when they were supposed to be fixed years ago to stop the movement. And yes, the amount of owners who had no idea what their dog actually looked like when asked to describe it
  6. People need to be aware that it is not tested for fertility safeness, so if you might want to breed your dog, male or female, at some stage, you might want to look at using something else.
  7. It would be normal for all monies to be paid in full before the puppy would be sent to you. It is not normal for all contact to cease once a deposit is received. Though they may have had a problem with their phone line, that is possible, but unlikely. How long have they been out of reach for?
  8. oh they are so beautiful Trish, congratulations and well done to Marie
  9. hard to tell the weather where I'm working
  10. I got confused by the forum clock, thinking it was a couple of hours since you had posted. I'm on night shift so will be in here lot's keeping an eye out on updates.
  11. yay! boy or girl, any more since you posted?
  12. I doubt a 5 month old pup is fool proof on knowing what sit means, particularly if it is an outside dog only. The OP needs to give more back to the pup and that includes just me time, just hanging around/gentle play. If the pup rarely sees it's people it is not going to be able to respond very well to any commands when it's brain is so excited.
  13. some breeds mature late, my bitch didn't have her 1st season until 16 months old, her daughter was 2 1/2 years old! agree with getting blood tests and mounting and humping is not always a sexual thing, your girl could be trying to be top dog.
