let me know if you need a bed the night before Tallangatta, I'm just over an hour I think from there. Or any other time on your way to a show. Have a spare bed and the yard is well divided.

I think so. They are relevant to our dogs and can only add to their status. Two dogs back and I have these prefixes in my dogs pedigree:- Sognoerotica Loro Del Piana and Itl & Int Ch Pepitadoro Di Selvaspina We are also planning to use: Laperla and so the people the pups will be homed with can get some assurance from an easily accessed site without chasing all over the place. What do you think? Px assurance about what? that you're not telling them porkies?

up my way. On the NSW's border. You could always send an entry in anyway to encourage them to keep the class. Highly likely I won't be going but I'm still going to enter.

I always thought nasturtiums were a bit of a no-no for dogs, maybe google and see. eta I took my own advice and it seems they are non toxic so it wasn't the nasturtiums

I have cut a section out of one of the panels for Fern to jump in and out and have also used the front off the whelping box with the panels attached to it.

What Breeds / X-breeds Show Up In Shelters?
Rebanne replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
Purebred with papers or just looked like a particular breed? Whilst it may look like a purebred dog without papers you have no idea, not to mention the rest of the litter could look the complete opposite. so very true. Now talking about a mutt here but my Emma came in with her litter mates. She was the only tri colour, the rest were solid blacks but they were obviously siblings, they were like peas in a pod except for the colouring. -
What Breeds / X-breeds Show Up In Shelters?
Rebanne replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
That is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what happened in over 75% of the cases we saw. I was horrified, disgusted etc at the attitude some breeders showed. I can think of only three who gave a toss and I nominated one of those for an MDBA award for the dedication they showed to an old dog of their breeding. I've only ever been able to contact one greyhound breeder who cared and that was for the severely emaciated greyhound in Wodonga Pound - he was awesome. Every other one I contacted would only tell me that they had passed it on. In the greyhounds case he too had passed it on but he still did the right thing, got another greyhound person to pick her up. She was the greyhound who started me on the slippery slope of being owned by greyhounds :D -

oh for God's sake how rude are you? You make this judgement based on a thread on a forum? -
What Breeds / X-breeds Show Up In Shelters?
Rebanne replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
I worked in a pound for 10 years, vast majority of dogs that came in were mutts. In those 10 years there were only 3 or 4 papered dogs that came in and guess what? when the breeders of those dogs were notified they were there as soon as possible to pick up their dogs. Same as the greyhound that came in, traced her breeder by the tattoo's and he organised for the dog to be picked up. -

wish you would actually learn to spell dobermann properly. -
I didn't send Fern's rego cert in cause I don't have it yet. According to the VCA they posted it on Dec 2nd. So I have to assume it is lost in the mail and of course they are now closed until Jan 3rd. So no hope of getting another one before the show. No membership card either. At least I have written proof that everything is up to date on the data base. But I do agree with you BB, don't have to provide rego's for other classes.

I consider this thread has gone way OT but I just wanted to point out to other readers that there are plenty of good reasons why you might not be able to meet the sire, the breeder, the dam or even the pups before buying. :D -
oh dear then I would fail :D

It will be Fern's first outing in Neuter :D

I just say what a heap of rubbish on those threads on FB and you'll be surprised how many other people then come out of the wood work to back you up. If "friends" keep posting those threads and links I delete the "friends". -

I always thought Fern had short seasons. By day 16 or so, vulva would be right down and certainly no discharge that I could see. She had 2 litters so if they were short there obviously wasn't a problem. Also I found her prog levels, when tested prior to mating, were very slow to rise then bang! game on

3. more then just a couple of pages, about a third fo a newspaper is what I would put down minimum. If it is not wet all the way through you can only throw out the wet layers 5. I changed the vet bed 3 times a day, roughly every 8 hrs and the newspapers under it. When newborns you could change just twice a day but I would never leave the same piece down for 48 hrs.

Congratulations, she's striking!

What Papers Should Come With A Purebred Puppy?
Rebanne replied to Fiasco's topic in General Dog Discussion
if you papers don't arrive follow it up with the breeder. Papers can and do go astray. I am still waiting on papers sent out by the VCA on Dec 2nd, doubt they are going to arrive anytime soon so will have to chase up replacement papers in Jan when the office reopens. Right royal pain in the -
I would still report it as they may be telling porkies and the dog might actually be theirs.
