  1. Most places have leash laws in place. So no off leash walks regardless of the level of training
  2. @angelsun might be able to help you. She had a hermaphrodite several years ago. Pretty sure it was discussed here. Maybe do a search in the health section
  3. I've seen pool noodles strung onto a collar to do the same job as a cone. There are also soft blow up collars. I usually just use a muzzle, none of my dogs have been big chewers on stitches or wounds.
  4. It could make toilet training longer and harder. As long as you are prepared to have wee pads inside your home for quite some time.
  5. I give my dogs cornsilk and cranberry. I 2nd what Powerlegs has said.
  6. He was adopted some months after he disappeared, not a few days.
  7. https://www.facebook.com/doggiedenbairnsdale/ one of the suppliers of the possibly contaminated meat
  8. I must admit to thinking along the same lines of the nurse. No idea how much it might hurt afterwards but you have to balance out increased pain for ? hours against more often GA/extreme anxiety. I'd certainly be asking for more info.
  9. What breed? Is this an ANKC registered pup? If she's an ANKC pup, registered with QLDDogs, then you could approach them and ask for advice. And genetic doesn't mean heredity, so this "tooth problem" may not be passed on but that's the least of your problems. I'd be having a lawyer look over the contract you signed and see if you can get out of it and get some money back. Good luck.
  10. To anyone reading this thread please disregard Osza's advice re meat and bones. Do your own research and you will find out how poor that advice is
  11. That sounds about right. Up his raw food, including bone, cut the dry back and there is no need to feed rice every day.
  12. I can't see any hint of ribs even allowing for his coat. He does look leggy to me but it is not a breed I am familiar with. Is he desexed? Have you checked in with his breeder? Some lines mature differently
  13. My dogs are all off puppy food long before they are full grown. Personally I'd be upping the raw food rather then the dry food. 4 pop's a day sounds a bit much unless they are small and firm. If a bit soft and large I would think that's the dry food rushing through.
  14. I wouldn't be worrying about 1kg. Sounds like a typical teenager.
  15. One litter or 100 you still are supposed to follow all the rules
  16. Safe from what? The weather, the mouse plague, the new disease carried by ticks?
  17. I wouldn't pass the NSW inspections because my dogs don't wear collars when at home, let alone collars with names and phone numbers. Nor is my house enclosed with 6 foot fences.
  18. Your post showed your mind was closed so no discussion was possible. You made it very clear what you thought of people who didn't do what you thought they should. Now, before I tell you an opinion I have that would be very hurtful, I will be bowing out of this conversation.
  19. everyone can have an opinion but it doesn't always need to be said out loud.
  20. so sorry Powerlegs but Perse said it beautifully
  21. not if you train him to accept all other options. My dogs, who are house dogs, can all sleep outside at night, during the day as needed. I have 3 Greyhounds, one mainly sleeps on my bed, one in the dog basket and one in the crate (no door). It varies. And if I don't want a dog ( or 2!) on the bed they go sleep somewhere else. The couch or the spare bed.
