of course puppies can consume calcium from bones, what do you think they eat in the wild? Sorry as there is no such breed there is no indication of size.
-
] well i hope so and im sure you do not mean do this to however the implication that its a long shot is a bit strange no implication at all, as I said I don't breed SBT's, I have no idea how much a gamble you are taking. It was a genuine wish for the puppy to remain healthy and happy.

the so called breeders would most likely sell it to some other person. If you are talking about after you have the pup tested and it comes back as affected well you are in a spot of bother. I'd be taking her back now and buying from properly health tested parents. Sure you are fond of her already but are you ready to deal with a blind and/or sick dog? But you already have collected the pup and as the breeder hasn't bothered to health test who knows what you would get back in the way of a refund etc. Or you may be one of the lucky ones and your pup will remain healthy and happy.

you pup could be affected or a carrier, so it could be blind at an early age or dead at even a younger age.

I don't breed Staffordshire Bull Terriers, I gave you a club website that said what happens to the dogs if they are affected cause you said you don't know about the diseases.

how old is the dog? Could it be "teenage" acne? I had a GSD years ago that got a rash in the armpit area and that's what the vet called it.

I know what I would have done to the little monster if he had been mine. I have never had one of my male dogs pee on me inside or out and they would have been harshly punished if they had dared to mark me. This isn't a toilet training lapse. Your dog marked you.

did you ask the breeder about the health tests that should have been done? I hope you and your pup are one of the good stories and Sweep lives a long happy life with you.

Puppy Skipped 2nd And 3rd Vaccinations

I always thought if you actually gave the kennel cough part as a needle they did need a follow up in 4 weeks time. If you gave the kennel cough as a nasal spray they only needed the one. I would check with the breeder again as to what way the KC was given. If your dog needs a 2nd shot try and get just the KC, not the other stuff which is not needed again. -
why is it so hard to believe that some dogs are not born perfect? I think you've misunderstood, I could ask you, why do you think all aggressive dogs have bad temperaments? I was just suggesting one possible reason for their aggressive behaviour :) Just as you were suggesting that they could just have poor temperaments. I never mentioned temperament at all. Just cause they might like their own space does not mean they are bad tempered. have you not heard of DINOS?

Congratulations!

why do you think they are not loved? Some dogs aren't friendly why is that so hard to accept?

it's just a show like any other. Even the Royals are still just dog shows. You might pay more in entry fees as the prizes might be better and someone has to pay to get those international judges here :D I just dont want to offend anyone..... hopefully the international German judge has a funny bone, because his going to need it for his puppy class! this dog showing stuff is supposed to be fun! Of course you will offend someone, it's a given. You won't know why or what or how but who cares? Sure there will be some sour person tut tutting if Gus is less then perfect, but no doubt they would be like that even if Gus is perfect! If it wasn't you it would be someone else. Don't worry about what other people might be thinking/doing/saying. You and Gus go have some fun!

whats the best way to find out if the show will still be on? I work nights and about to head off to bed. Considering I will be getting up at 3 am tomorrow to get there I want to make sure it's actually on! If anyone hears anything can you post it here and I'll check in tonight. -
RIP Bailey, neither you or your family desevred this

you must feed the meat on the bone. Raw meat on it's own is very unbalanced. And dry food won't balance it.

I have a flexi lead and it's great. Don't blame the gear for the incorrect use of it by people. If it wasn't a flexi it would most likely be a long line.

Inside Dogs And Geographical Location
Rebanne replied to mixeduppup's topic in General Dog Discussion
My first greyhound was a real gem but sometimes he would rip up paper if left inside or have the occasional chew on a book. So when I left him inside, while I was going out for a little while, I would muzzle him. Well if I could have been tarred and feathered through the internet I well and truly would have been. I was supposed to crate him not muzzle him! This was the biggest breed email group in the world but mainly from one culture. They thought a muzzle was incredibly cruel. I think they saw it as a sign of a, in their eyes, very cruel industry. But they would think nothing of crating their dog all day while at work, then crating all night while they slept. And to give your dog water from the tap, well.............. -

if it's not I will be turning around and going home  I always thought shows at the park were always inside at this time of year. -
speak to your breeder first. There might be a reason she wants the pup on this food. Some breeders will say any health guarantee might be voided by changing the pups diet. Others will say try this, this or this and some won't care at all.

I would think this has the potential to impact quite badly on the dog down the track. Particularly in such a large dog.
