  1. actually you posted about your problems on another FB page, not on your own. As I said the greyhound world is small. If you had listerned and acted upon some of the advice given here you would now not be in this position. But no, you knew best and now the dogs are paying for it. The dogs always pay in the end. Please get over yourself! The dogs are not paying the dogs are fine. Yeah I figured a FB group would be a help clearly none with you in them you might be surprised what groups I am part of.

  3. maybe, maybe not, who knows. Do greys that are not good with little dogs usually get adopted? I wouldn't adopt out a greyhound that was not tolerant of little dogs. It is too important to the greyhounds to take the chance. This is going to sound really harsh but, for the greater good, I'd PTS any greyhound that is not ok with little dogs. They don't have to live with one but you must be able to walk your greyhound down the street without it wanting to kill the little dog on the oppoiste side. To me, greyhounds are up against it, though GAP, GSN, etc have done an huge job, plus all the other reputable rescues and their foster carers and the owners of these beautiful dogs. As a greyhound owner, even though not of adopted race dogs, I am always aware that my dogs behaviour is most likely being judged and commented on by the general public while we are out and about.
  4. if what was said on FB was true then no, Greylvr does not have the dogs anymore. Ina is with another person/rescue? Lucky with a friend of Greylvr's while another rescue/foster care is found for her. Both are not cat friendly and Ina is also not safe with small dogs, not sure about Lucky. Lucky is still entire. Both have health issues from what was said here and no paperwork.
  5. I read through, where does it say they've been moved on? it was on FB, the greyhound world is small.
  6. Lucky has been moved on as well as Ina. As in they found permanent home already? no and not PTS, moved on elsewhere
  7. Lucky has been moved on as well as Ina.
  8. So you have had some problems and now both dogs are or have to be moved on?
  9. I always love pointing out, before deleting, that dress it up however you like, you are still buying and choosing one dog over another.
  10. I feed Pal Pedigree dry food to my dogs mainly Sometimes it's Supercoat or Bonnies but mainly Pal. It is the only food, when I had 4 greyhounds, that they would all eat and do well on. I tried more expensive brands but nothing suited all of them and I wasn't having several different brands taking up space. Throw in the occasional egg or sardines, occasional feed of chicken wings or necks and your friends dogs should do fine. Might take a bit of trialling to see what works best but you don't have to feed expensive food to have healthy dogs.
  11. I just delete things like that and then often delete the "friend" that was sharing it
  12. The greyhound that just stands and stares at a cat in the house and never even flicks an ear when you speak to it is not cat friendly at all. If you can break the gaze with minimum effort then the greyhound can be worked with. But yes they will lunge at the cat, especially if it moves. The unbreakable fixed gaze is my biggest clue to how they will go with a cat. Sometimes the lunging and yipping is mostly excitement and can also be worked with - if you know what you are doing.
  13. Oh she's lovely! Warrior goes into Inter, Christmas eve, where did that 18 months go???
  14. yes I don't like the term cat safe, much prefer cat tolerant. Sometimes how the cat behaves can also impact on how the dog reacts. My bitch is fine with my cat and when out on walks, totally not bothered by them at all. Go to my daughter's place and again is not at all interested in the cat that takes no notice of her. But, the cat that slinks around giving out very strong victim vibes, Fern was very interested in. It took nearly 18 months for the cat to stop acting like a victim and once that happened Fern stopped being interested. But they are never left alone together, ever. eta fix spelling
  15. I think its Kath and she writes on the envelope. there is a slip for catalogues
  16. Yes got mine early in the week, post marked the 9th
  17. Can you buy a gazebo roof in the silver shade? Or even ordinary shade cloth? Cause sometimes the normal ones trap in the heat. Those sticking up bits in the middle make it hard to guess how much shadecloth you might need to use as a roof.
  18. well I hope they at least get a muzzle for the non cat safe one, fancy taking on such a dog when you have a cat and not have a muzzle for it. Goes to show how well thought out this all was when they are asking for food, bedding, coats, toys, collars, muzzles. We do have muzzles 4 in fact. You obviously have an issue why dont you just not read the thread or stalk the facebook page if it upsets you so much. You have way too much time on your hands so your plea for someone to donate a muzzle has worked. Bet the cat is glad of that. Actually we had one for Ina already here waiting for her. Your pretty rude and its very disturbing how a grown woman stalks people then attacks them on a forum to fill in their day. That's not what your FB page said. Report me if you think this is an attack, easy to do.

  21. you were crate training her outside the house??????????
  22. Won't work with GAP or GSN but happy to work with pound rounds, it would be if the potential for harm wasn't so high
  23. My daughter's grey copes well as an only dog and she works 5 days a week. Certainly try the places suggested, she might have to wait a while for the right dog but it will be worth it!
