of course it is hurting humans. Why do you keep making excuses for this dog?

The smooth foxy didn't do much for me but I really liked the wire. The border was very nice and so was the Jack (sorry, none of this 'Russell' terrier nonsense; it's a Jack Russell). My thoughts exactly :) Why did they drop the Jack? same for dropping Australian from the Silky?

how old was the pup when sold and when PTS? Did you have a contract and if so what did it say? what score did the parents have? did you explain to the new owners about the disease and how they had to take care as well?

I have owned more yellow collars and leads then red. Yes there is always the exception to the rule. But majority more people would have red than yellow. My Dad actually tried to buy a yellow collar for his dog and couldnt get one I have heaps of yellow stuff and I don't even like the colour Compare that to red.. I have a single reddish-purple collar that one dog was wearing when she came in. might be a greyhound thing :D but I have to confess my yellow stuff was used on the GSD's. I only have a brace lead now in yellow.

R.I.P Sooki sorry for your loss Tralee, I remember your posts from when you first got Sooki, treasure your memories

You can not help this dog, it is beyond your knowledge. The dog is dangerous and should be PTS.

I don't think yellow is the right colour. Should be red if you are going to do soemthing. Red means stop. Simple really.

How Well Do You Know Your Dog's Pedigree?
Rebanne replied to SkySoaringMagpie's topic in General Dog Discussion
this is the Greyhound Database mainly racebred but plenty of showbred on it as well. It's how I know my current show girl's pedigree goes back further then the race boy I had. There is another greyhound database but I find it unreliable as it's often down and don't use it. -
No and No and it doesn't matter where you live.

and a lot of dogs "attacked" don't become aggressive. Look at the age of the dog when the supposed attack happened. 12 months old, just becoming fully mature. what ever happened the dog is now dangerous and the owner needs to step up to the mark and muzzle the dog while out and about, just not carry the damn thing around. Too bad for the other dog/skateboard rider if they meet coming around a blind corner. It's way too late to discipline the dog, which most likley wouldn't have worked anyway. It's a dangerous dog and he needs to abide by the dangerous dog laws and that's what you should be telling the owner. And if he won't comply then you need to alert the council to that fact or you are going to have death and injuries to dogs and people on your conscience.

No way I would breed with an affected but I would breed with a carrier and DNA test all pups before being sold and desex any that were also carriers unless I could 100% trust the people the pups was going to, to also do the right thing.
-
I think it's good you are testing but what happens if any come back as a carrier? Cause if they turn out excellent workers someone is sure to want to breed from them.
-
take the dog to the pound.
-
just whose dog is this? as you seem very involved. personally the dog has proven it is dangerous therefore it must live by those laws. And if the "owner' can find $1500 for boot camp then they can find the money for a professional assesment. Might be best if the "owner" just abides by the conditions imposed on the dog, at least that way other dogs will be safe.

Determining The Food Your Dog Does Best On

so the best diet for my dogs is one that keeps them looking good ie coat, firm poo, maintains weight, doesn't give them any allergic reactions and for me, easy to obtain. -

My greys aren't ex race dogs, they are house dogs, but I have never bothered to trial them in a kennel. If they have needed to go in to kennels they go. End of story. Longest has been for a week. They survived and so did I.

Well that's why people need to vote! Only 1 of the 9 candidates up for election is a returning committee member. Georgina Beach Tania Kirkland Emma Duff Frank Valastro Sheryl Pretty Jan Robinson David Veless Gwenda Carr Stephen Sapsead 2 of these candidates work in the VCA Office. I'm not sure that is a good combination. And they are?

I've left my dogs tied up outside the local milkbar while I nicked in for the paper. Usually around 6 am. If I was still walking the dogs at that time, and if the milkbar was still there :D , I most likely would still be doing it.
-
hope they send out some info regarding themselves, some I have never heard of.

I know, so annoying :D

One of mine does that, starts as a play bow facing the other dog, then a complete 360 in the air but low to the ground, so she is back in exactly the same spot. It is so quick ! Yeah I've had greys do that :-)
