I think what you are planning on doing is bordering on cruelty, did you actually look at those poor dogs? Sure they did it, to a certain extent, but it wasn't exactly fun for them. The stress on that first dog was incredible. I watched the first two but couldn't watch any others it distressed me too much. I trained a male greyhound for agility, he barely fit through the tyre and could not do it at full height without hitting his back, needless to say I stopped, as my dog comes first. You will be asking a dog who is much bigger to do the same thing. It's only going to be fun for you, it won't be for the dog. If you really wanted an IW you would want it for it's own attributes and get a different breed for your agility ego. To me it's "oh look at me, how good am I, making this dog do what I want, never mind he is so unsuited to do these activites in so many ways" It makes me sick

doesn't mean the pups won't be driven. Agility equipment won't be big or strong enough for an IW.

People need to stop feeding the troll please. It's just trivialising the awful event that happened.

One entire bitch, GSD, spayed at around 3, after 4 or 5 seasons. Found a tiny pea size lump near a nipple at around 6, never tested. One entire bitch, Greyhound, spayed at 5, so far zilch All other bitches, 5, spayed at around 6 months, one became incontinent at around 8 years after a UTI
-
excellent result, congratulations!
-
A mini wouldn't be much more than 8kg if that, still no match for 25/30kg dog.....a GSD is considered a medium sized dog so a mini Schnauzer is still quite a small dog I would think? A GSD is a large breed. No offence meant. no they are classed as a medium breed

then start a thread elsewhere and take your whining there

:D Shantiah and Paige looked like a pair of drowned rats but hey winners are grinners  it was a lovely excited phone call I received.

My greyhounds. After a couple of days I am sure they would forget all about being nice to small creatures and catch something and we would huddle together at night for warmth.

That wasn't at Knox was it? 1999? My first was in awful weather but I went back the next year and the weather was much kinder :D

Lots of people camp there and they are very close to the rings. Excellent toilet and shower facilities. I've never camped there but show there every year.

Does She Really Need An Elizabethan Collar?
Rebanne replied to WExtremeG's topic in General Dog Discussion
Never had a dog or a cat interested in their stitches enough to need a collar. -
nothing shows up in any of the xrays yes I get what you mean but I am not sure what was causing the problem. Xrays will be reviewed in 3 weeks time when I get to another spinal vet. Fern's hips were scored at 14 monthss old and were excellent and except for the odd leg placement there is nothing showing up in any xray
-
would that not show up in the spine xrays?
-
Been having a few back issues with Fern, my greyhound bitch, long story but it was requested to have hip xrays done as the chiro/acunpuncture vet felt the pain was more in her hip. So toddle off to my regular vet to get the xrays done. Same vet who did Fern's hips for scoring some years ago, a vet who does a lot of xrays for scoring. Try as she might the vet cannot get Fern's hind legs into the right position. One in particular was bad, is out on an angle. There are no signs of degeneration in the hip xrays or the full spinal ones I also got done. Part of the long story is we are no longer seeing 1st chiro vet as when I asked him today was he interested in treating small animals his answer was no, not really. So Fern and her xrays were not seen today. Being a nervous Mum I am worried why a vet could not manipulate the legs into the right position under a full GA. I was hoping to discuss this today but I don't let people/vets I don't trust treat my dogs and I no longer trust him. I can not Fern into anywhere else until March 20th. The vet who took the xrays was stumped with why she had so much trouble. I, of course, have all worst case scernarios running through my head and was wondering if anyone else's dog has ever been hard to position for xrays while under a full GA?

While I agree this is an awful photo of a very nice bitch I fail to see any clipping. My bitch has that line of hair down her neck and believe me she is not clipped or stripped to make it. I think that a lot of the "strangeness" that people are seeing in the greyhound is simply the difference between show & race lines. I didn't think she looked odd in the picture??? it's not a pic I would put up with pride No of course not BUT IMO you could see that it was the angle of the picture that was the problem NOT the dog if that makes sense? yes I could, but if you are not familiar you would just think strange looking dog :D

same bitch from 2012 Westminster
