  1. I would resent it. Why should I have to prove I can be a responsible owner just cause my breed of choice weighs over 25 kilos. I've seen 2 kilo fluffballs chase kids out onto a street.
  2. Group 6 is usually well supported. Try being in Grp 4 where there has only been one for nearly 18 months. Thankfully that is changing. Even if there is no competition at Group level there is at neuter in show. I have to say Fern continues to be shown to support the class, we are fully behind the concept, plus she loves it!
  3. Agree, though I do sit in a chair. Would never get up if I sat on the floor!
  4. I agree, I don't think the OP and husband should get another dog. Rehome these two and be done with dog ownership. Probably like many people these days, life is way too busy anyhow. I agree with this as well and with what Wobbly has said.
  5. there are no growth hormones used here
  6. Maybe her breeder doesn't know? And it's the owner who left in the pound.
  7. Bloody dogs shouldn't be out loose on the street at all. Stop trying to blame the jogger. Why do some people have so much trouble believing there are bad dogs out there that can and do attack innocent people?
  8. that's only for small dogs, for my breed it is 5 for a bitch
  9. I think you should contact his breeder. You need an export certificate, not just ordinary rego papers
  10. Me too and they only cost $10 each. Lovely soft webbing.
  11. yes you have to pay the club the dishonoured fee. Otherwise they can take it to the VCA.
  12. lets hope the breeder provides them with a lot more then just a puppy. How to properly care for it while travelling should be top of the list
  13. if the poor dog was living with the cats does that mean he was free ranging and eating food out of open packets of food, much like the cats still do?
  14. it's a poll being run by the Maitland Mercury paper about the propsed new laws re breeding. It's a safe link as fas as I can tell, nothing bad happened to my computers
  15. I leave coats on my greyhounds while unattended, they'd freeze otherwise. I have never known them to get hooked on anything, the worst that has happened is a bit of a chew around the neck or on the tie around the waist. Coat then falls off and dog gets cold but that can be prevented by using one of these The Wolf's Den I don't like coats with legs in them as I have found the older greys have trouble bending their long legs up to get them on and it's extra hard when they are a bit rickerty in hind legs.
  16. get rid of the weetbix, milk, tin food. I'm happy to feed supercoat, so give some for breakfast as well, and for tea I'd go a couple of chicken wings.
  17. I think Petplan offers 6 weeks free insurance on puppies to registered breeders? Worth asking them about it. My pup came with 6 weeks free insurance. yes they do, you can apply on their website
  18. what about another vet at the same practice? All her notes will be there. And there is no saying what the vet who did the OP may think anyway, he might be like the ER vet.
  19. not when you talk about excessive drinking, smoking etc, our pets aren't really into that, well mine aren't
  20. you are in the wrong thread, you have contributed nothing to the orginal post. It is against forum rules to railroad a thread. Please take your "discussion" elsewhere. Start your own thread in the health forum if you feel the need to share your thoughts.
