  1. Great discussion with the vet, of biggest concern is that it has already grown back. So a plan of management and when we can't stop the bleeding well...............................arrangements have been made. Warrior was quite shaky in the back legs, of course he sleeps a lot at home, so I hadn't really noticed. He can still get on my bed which is most important to us both.
  2. Surgery went well, removed 3 of the things. But one has come back. First noticed it Sunday evening. Going to the vet this afternoon. Has already leaked a bit of serous fluid. I can cope with that but not with a bleed that won't stop. I have a list of questions to ask. Warrior is otherwise fine for an older dog.
  3. Communication is a 2 way street. If you see something you like then make an enquiry
  4. I have no idea what size a NERD? is Try a proper butcher if it's a common meat. Sometimes they will mince stuff for you.
  5. I would think allergies are under illness
  6. I'd be very careful with Bravecto on your pregnant girl. I'd treat the other 4 and then separate for 24 hours. I would use the ear drops on her.
  7. I took all my pups out and about but in the car. We'd park at the supermarket and watch all the people or up the main street. Cause I showed my dogs right from the start ( 3 months) they met a lot of people and a few dogs. I was very selective of who my pups met, dog wise, not because of possible disease but more the temperament.
  8. Have a look at McDowells herbal remedies. https://www.mcdowellsherbal.com/
  9. well done! They look so good and healthy. You did a great job. Consider keeping them to 10 weeks if they are still being a bit fussy re feeding themselves
  10. when he does use a pad leave it under a clean one, the smell should help him go there again. Also when you think it's time for him to go put him on the pad and use a word like toilet or wee etc. 3 month is very young and it will be a while before he is toilet trained, you need to help him get the idea.
  11. agree with Persephone. Stop feeding them yourself and leave Mum with them but make sure she can leave if she wants to. A little bit of hunger won't hurt them. I'd also try raw mince and see how they go.
  12. No, just feeling a bit sensitive this morning. Unless there are photo's of dogs in condition equal to the the condition of the yard
  13. Couldn't read it all, too stomach churning
  14. Or Easy Thumbnails. I've used the free version for nearly as long as there have been personal computers https://www.fookes.com/easy-thumbnails
  15. whilst I wouldn't breed from this bitch again I would give her a break as this litter has not been easy on you or her. There are codes of practice that need to be followed if you were a registered breeder. I strongly urge you to get both dogs health tested before breeding them again and I mean proper health tests for the breed/s not just the all clear from the vet. https://www.orivet.com/ I'm not sure what the laws are in NSW but in Victoria you could be liable for the pups up until they are 3 years old, for certain things. Regardless of if you are a registered breeder or not. I am glad everything turned out ok in the end
  16. My vet said that food allergies are more likely to upset things internally then externally. We were discussing my itchy girl and the vet had not long done a 12 month course, I think it was, and that was the latest thinking.
  17. Surgery tomorrow to remove both. The bigger one has been oozing blood the past few days.
  18. Not to mention snail bait thrown over the fence. My council, in it's wisdom, fenced in an area for a dog park directly across the road from homes. I am glad I don't live in any one of those houses.
  19. Take out the heat pad. And yes leave a bowl of water for them. I believe toy pups can be little buggers at times getting them started eating. As mine are large breed and were devouring chicken necks by 4 weeks I'll leave it to others to help you out
  20. I'm lucky at the moment that it only bleeds for a short time. Not days - yet! Tonight I used a crepe bandage to hold a non stick dressing against it, much like a belly band. The one that looked like a bruise will have blood in it in another couple of weeks I reckon.
  21. No I do not allow my dogs off lead full stop. Years ago when I did have dogs with a reliable recall they were always called back when approaching another dog
  22. I wouldn't feed farex, weetbix or the like. Raw, good quality mince rolled into tiny balls is a much better meal. Let them suck it up off your fingers. Any food you start with will quite likely upset their bowels to a certain extent. Little or not they will love sucking on raw red meaty bones. I also never worm my pups until they are 4 weeks old. I just thing they handle it better then starting at two weeks. Break up the tiny tablets and stick it into the mince they are eating of your fingers. Much easier then trying to get a liquid into them.
  23. I'm thinking of a wide cloth type bandaid, won't be the first time I've used them on a dog. ETA shopping trip to Chemist Warehouse tomorrow for some supplies. Currently using non stick dressing and plastic bandaids as the scab came off. Warrior is being a good boy and not bothering it.
