it was most likely low progesterone. You need to find a repo vet that can test levels through the pregnancy and if need be support the bitch with meds/injections.

..I'd be hesitant , very, to advise this over the net ... I have seen way too much skin removed, some bone left ........ it's best done first under personal guidance :) I did my first litter myself after watching some YouTube videos.

Please Help-scab On Neck After Snake Bite
Rebanne replied to lionqueen's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
take the poor dog to the vet and get her attended to. -
for you Moops and family. Run free Jack, you were blessed.

He could have had a growth spurt and now that's done with for now, he's put on weight. But a baseline bloodwork up won't hurt and not too pricey either.

and that is the most important thing about boarding kennels. My dog's don't require a whole heap of stuff, just a secure, safe kennel with run attached and people who like their job and the dogs they look after.

Advice Needed - Incident With My Labrador
Rebanne replied to Georgina Ebony's topic in General Dog Discussion
I agree with this. It will do more harm if you are pressured into thinking you dog is a time bomb. I wouldn't have thought one incidence constitutes "a history". I agree with all the posters who say not to play ball with your girl in the park. We all have to remember that a dog is a dog is a dog, not matter how happy, well socialised, or trained. We can't always tell what is going to trigger an unwanted response. Athough a dog can be severely injured and even killed through just being shaken by another dog, if the poodle had been injured you would have heard by now. (I realise this is not the point though.) So I think you girl was just telling this dog off. You've had a big fright and I hope it can be resolved and your enjoyment of your dogs is not diminished. To grab and shake is not a "telling off", it's a "I'm going to kill you". Haredown Whippets is totally correct. This dog now has an aggressive history and should not be off lead around other dogs. I bet if one of my greyhounds grabbed and shook you'd be calling for it to be muzzled at a minimum. -
Have you asked your breeder yet? If he is growing height wise he mightn't be putting on weight.

They are/were all different to me, even the GSD's had different colouring from each other. 5 GSD and 5 Greyhounds, one unique mutt. I see/saw similar breed traits between the breeds but otherwise they are all unique.

at 14 years of age I wouldn't be denying her any pleasures.

A Follow On Thread For Those Who Now Have Their Puppy
Rebanne replied to julesluvscavs's topic in Puppy Chat
Thank you, that's some good advice. I'm thinking I'll pull her out of tomorrows show, no point in stressing her when I want her to like showing. I'll still take her along though, i'll be showing my other dog. Actually skip the sitting part just let her stand anyhow then tighten it up to be a stacked stand. Wouldn't want her to sit when the judge comes over  Yeah take her anyway and have some fun, play around a bit with her, enjoy the day. -

get as many people as possible to go over Nala while outside the ring and give her a treat as they approach and finish. Even just set her up and have people approach and leave, walk past and around etc before touching her. Thank you, times like this I wish I was less shy! I think I'll take her to work with me, lots of people who all love dogs! We start the obedience club's puppy school soon, I think that will be a good chance to practice with people going over her too, more of a formal setting, Your work mates can do it. They don't need to do a full on exam, nor does Nala need to be stacked. Get her sitting and have people approach and leave, Nala doesn't get a treat unless she has four feet, and bum, on the floor. Then repeat while she is standing. Can do it during tea and lunch breaks. :D -

Just do what the OP did, start a thread here in general, it usually gets seen. DD maybe change the title so that SLF notices it. There have been a few duplicate threads when warranted. -
Question About Film Make Up For A Dog!
Rebanne replied to kelpiecuddles's topic in General Dog Discussion
put some dirt in a bucket, add water then rub the mud over her. -
Join the pen to the crate rather then put the crate inside, creates more room. This photo shows the bunnings panel attached to the crate, the white board was part of the whelping box and was my access to the pen to clean it up. You can also see a couple of panels leaning against the end of the crate. They replaced the white board and were pegged to the crate and made the door way.

Do you have life insurance? :D Why, are you planning on killing her  I don't know why, it's not like he's in the will
