sorry you and Emma are going through this

beautiful photos Helen hmm I would describe the one with the autumn leaves as dappled... So now I am really confused! its absolutely gorgeous though - compliments your Brittany's colour perfectly That is interesting about better lenses creating creamier bokeh.
-
I like creamy - but I like dapples (for want of a better word!) better. Is it generally thought that creamyness is better than dapples in Bokeh? Love the photos Raz

Please take him to the Vet to make absolutely sure that there is nothing going on that you don't know about. Is it his back that reaches your hip, or his head? If its his back then he really is very underweight Lamb is wonderful for putting on weight so Lamb flaps, lamb necks, and lamb hearts might really help him along Perhaps you could even try that special high calorie food that Hills makes?

Firstly- you must be so proud of Brennan I want to have a rave too In uor neighbourhood, there is a man with a Rotti. HE will have the Rotti offlead in his front gardenn and he'll have the boot up on his station Wagon. When he sees anyone coming he tells his Rott to hop up into the boot. The Rott waits patiently in the open boot while you walk past - Beautiful

That's awesome Monah! especially the Soin bit I so can't imagine it happening here! (wish it would though!) OT but I was at the uni today and did a double take when I saw a picture of a Spin balancing on a ball, on a noticeboard!

Oh no. Not another revenue raiser, it won't come for free. More licences, certificate, papers, rules, whatever. It will become so hard to own a dog that in the end no one will bother except maybe the moron types who do what they want regardless. why would it be hard? If you don't want extra access you don't bother. For people who already go to training clubs, show, or compete with their dogs it would be hardly any extra work at all. If you do want extra access it would be worth the bit of exrta effort.

ooh I especially love the pomegranate! The colour is so rich; and I like how its repeated in the background - and you even got a bee for added interest!

My Oscar gets all offended if hubby gives me a kiss or a cuddle and gives him a right telling off. Bitty gets offended when Mr Bubbitty and I cuddle! She always has to muscle in and cuddle her Da Da as well. Sometimes we block her off and she cries and peers at us! I can't help but snark at her and tell her "I am his true wife! You are nothing but a chubby four legged blonde!!!!! He dun love you!!!!! Get over it!" She gets EVER so offended the poor poppet! My OH will often say to one of them that they are now his favourite over the other one - poor Doggies! But one day when someone said something not very nice about them he gave that disagreeable person a fifteen minute lecture

Advice Needed (changing An Adult/adoptee Dogs Name)
raineth replied to Kazhak's topic in General Dog Discussion
The name Krusty is so awful! Nearly anything would be better than that! I named my rescue dog "Digby" his first name was "Diesal" which I know is quite a popular dog name but I don't like it one bit. But a while ago I looked up what the name Digby meant, and it means "town by a ditch" whooops. -

Great news! Very happy to hear it -
It's all natural light. I had him laying on the carpet in front of the lounge room window which gets all the afternoon light and had the front door open off to the side of him. I was really struggling at first and then all of a sudden the sun came out really brightly for a few minutes and I was able to get these two shots. I have white netting on the lounge window which seems to really brighten the background. Other than that it's just a lightroom preset for the editing. thanks for the info! Its great that you can get so much light into your house! our house is very dark. I'll have to get me a copy of lightroom one of these days! You can always download the 30 day free trial and see what you think of it. ;) wow! i had no idea about that! thanks so much for letting me know YAY! :D

wow they are so squishable. I feel like a combination of this after looking at those photos:

Any ANKC associate can compete in obedience and agility. Outside of Qld, that's been the case ever since I became involved. How is that ia "privilege"? You pay your money, you register your dog and you are entitled to enter alongside any other ANKC registered dog. when the assoicate register started up in Vic the dogs didn't have to be desexed, though that was changed quite quickly. My 1st associate dog was not allowed to compete in the same ring as ANKC dogs, we had to have seperate rings and their titles were different as well. GD instead of CD for example. What did GD stand for Rebanne? Graduate Dog and Graduate Dog Excellent. Didn't get as far as UD back then so not sure what it was. Not all clubs allowed associates to trial and I do remember there was one trial that was only for associates! thanks! I was imagining "Good Dog"

concussion was my worst one i think I got taken out by newly adopted Great Dane when she pounced on me in play.

How could I register my rescue dog Digby, who is 60 kg of mastiff muscle with the working Kelpie association My other rescue dog is a non-pedigree Great Dane so I would imagine having trouble registering her with a working dog association. I love my rescue dogs and will be having more in the future. Lucky I'm not in QLD! Quite simply you cannot because they are not working Kelpies or a working breed, The same as if you had a Peddigree Great Dane you couldn't enter a Chihuahua club show it's not the right breed. The Working dog associations produce Pedigrees for their members who breed Kelpies for example, from Working Lines. An Associate registered dog can compete in everything a Sporting Registered dog can except for Herding unless they go the step further. hmm I think I missed your point and you've missed mine I just think its a real shame that you can only register two associates when your first join then none thereafter. Generally I find that people who love their pedigree dogs also strongly support ownership of rescue dogs. But this rule would act to dissuade some people from owning a rescue dog.

I was thinking a few months ago that one possibility could be to allow dogs and owners who have their canine good citizen award (or an equivalent) to have increased access. This way responsible owners with well behaved pets would be rewarded for the effort they have put in, and be able to more easily include their dog in daily activities. It also means that some of the problems associated with increased access would be avoided.

hmm I've only scanned the other replies so I might be repeating... something helpful to do would be to make him work for you before he is allowed to greet another dog, and also attach a word to greeting another dog. Then he knows that theren will be no saying hello until he hears that word. He will also know he has to follow your rules to be allowed to say hello.

The Crestie photo is also a gorgeous example of a backlit photo

Do You Have A List Of What Breeds You Want To Own One Day?
raineth replied to Aztec Gold's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have a Great Dane and a Rescue dog. I think I will have more Great Danes and Rescue dogs... but I would also consider owning Italian Spinone Scottish Terrier Bernese Mountain Dog and if I had a place where they could have plenty of room to run when they felt the need, I would consider a sight hound probably a deerhound or greyhound -
Amazing photos in here! a couple of standouts for me are the butterfly, Mow, the Ridgeback, and the Dobie, But they are all fabulous! here is probably my fave Bokeh shot
