  1. It's 3 weeks away.... I too wonder what the Hav entries will be, though....
  2. Talk about a thread killer!!!! It's been 2 days, AND we've slipped off the first page!! I realised I haven't been in to thank Janelle for running my awesome Chester in for Challenge Dog last weekend (with an added extra sprint from Toy ring to Working Dog ring and back again) - thank you so much!!!! I'll have a little pressie for you at Gunnedah! And thank you to Errolynne too for taking my boy around - that was lovely of you, and I really appreciate it! Wow - sounds like I have professional handlers now!! I'll have to step out of the newbie thread. :D No clashing at Gunnedah, I hope (although I have noticed that some groups are sharing rings....) - I'm only taking an Aussie and min pins. I couldn't face lugging a Maremma all that way - Aurea can do local shows. I am "borrowing" a little black & tan min pin girl named Shine for a while, and she is coming with us to Gunnedah. She is due to arrive this weekend, so we are very excited. For those of you who remember our little Charm, she is Charm's 1/2 sister (via their Dad) and Chester's 1/2 sister (via their Mum)! We were too late to get entries in for Stroud, so we are going to have a few weeks off until Gunnedah.
  3. So, Bec..... are you coming???? I can probably help out with Toby accommodation if that is all that is stopping you. I sent my entries off today - I'm taking Chester Bear, Dragon and a new surprise girl - Shine!!! She is a black & tan min pin who is coming to live with me for a while. Last time I met her she was all wiggles and wags and cuddles, so I hope she is still like that. :D onsntillnflash - I didn't get to meet you at the Kootingal show, so make sure you make yourself known this time around! Hopefully I'll be somewhere near Sammy & Dotty (and angelsophie if she is going....).
  4. I would like to be heading to the Aussie Specialty for a look on Saturday, but don't think I'll make it. I will however be down there for the Min Pin specialties on Easter Monday!
  5. Yes - congrats on the 9pt BOB! You should be very proud of your boy and yourself.
  6. Congratulations, Bec and Rich & Toby! I think the trust has been well-earned as you have done a great job with your boy so far. You should be very proud!
  7. Which 3 are you doing, poocow??? Bay City @ Hillsborough See you there - at some stage! I'm a bit overrun with children here at the moment, and don't know that I will be able to get them up and about early enough to make the morning show. I'll see if my mother-in-law might be kind enough to come and stay tonight so that the kids can sleep in. I used to have a bit of time to get to the shows, too, showing a Min Pin and even a Maremma - it's the A dogs that are the problem for someone who is always pushing deadlines.
  8. Congratulations LOTG and Lola!!! Good luck for your next two shows! I am possibly entering Chester in a show tomorrow morning, then 2 on Saturday (as long as kids vs dogs isn't too difficult). Then hopefully specialties on Easter weekend.
  9. I think fidgety stacks and 14 week old puppies go together.... Look forward to your photos.
  10. Very interesting, and a bit worrying! Can anyone give an idea of how much titre tests cost (for dogs, that is)?
  11. Hey Keyarna, Welcome to the newbie thread! I haven't caught your posts on other threads - what breed is your boy?? (And I agree, a photo would be nice.) :D Deb
  12. This was Hunter Animal Rescue's picnic day/fundraiser. It was a nice day out, but I didn't take a dog so felt a bit naked! ;)
  13. I've actually been considering the same thing, sandgrubber - thanks for asking the question. Especially as I've just been reading other threads about how prevalent parvo seems to be at the moment - and there has been mention that vaccinated dogs have contracted it.... I'd like some more information about that.
  14. Thanks Deb I was hoping it was this week cause I would have made it! But I will be there in the hols! (It is on in the hols right?) How was Aurea?? And the rest of the day for you'se? I went down to the working ring once we were done but I couldn't find you. The other bully boy there was Aus Grand Champ...So needless to say he beat us haha. And one of her bitches beat us, so we only got our class. Leo was being really naughty, he wouldn't stack because he was being a princess about the wet grass. But, once we were over, the lady came and talked to me (I had heard not always nice things so didn't know what to expect) but she told me Leo was stunning. She looked him over and said he had a beautiful mouth etc, and we are going to have a lot of fun together and once he matures a bit more he will do a lot in the ring. She even went as far as to say if he was a little more mature he woulda whooped her boys ass ..She asked me if i'd entered the bully speciality (and we aren't ..I'm just way too much of a sook to drive in Syd on my own) and she got a bit cranky that we werent and told me she would take my entries now if I change my mind! So, I was stoked, and it was a morning worth going even if we didn't do a lot! How were the balloons at the picnic?! Work said it was a hit ...And so was their tent haha, and even brought me back a bag of goodies I was stoked! Hopefully i'll make it to the next doggie day out or something...Although, my weekends are pretty much non existant at the moment!! I didn't end up doing balloons as no-one could find them, but we stayed for a while and watched our obedience club go through their paces and had a chat to a few people that I ran into. It was very hot, and I had our two youngest kids with me and there was no stand there with ice-creams so we had to leave a bit earlier than I had planned. That's great that you had a good morning with Leo - we knew he had class so I'm glad to hear that someone else told you so as well! Aurea was lovely this weekend. She stood nicely for the judges and managed to trot instead of pace around the ring. I think show training and some extra work at home paid off in boosting her confidence. It's just a bit harder with a breed that doesn't want to be everybody's lapdog. She did particularly like the afternoon judge, however, and even stepped towards her looking for more pats - a nice change from last weekend when she was wanting to run and hide. Group was a bit much for her and she ended up flopping onto the grass. She wasn't in with a chance so I just let her relax. I did worry that maybe that wasn't paying much respect to the judge, but I just want Aurea to enjoy herself at the moment and not feel too pressured.
  15. Hi Jess, I think it must be. How did Leo go on Saturday morning? I didn't get a chance to catch up with you again.
  16. White patterned works perfectly well too. And she is gorgeous. We need photos of Dragon and Tally for er... *cough* comparison. Dragon had his 3rd show day today, and I think his practice through the week has helped. He was much more settled in the stack (not near perfect, but better).
  17. Hey Wuffles - Ava's own thread!!! She is looking gorgeous. Her eye colour has definitely lightened. She is from our first Aussie litter, aussielover. The only girl, and a very special girl at that. You could call her "white pattern" (not sure if that is technically correct, but does sound nicer than mismarked). Thanks for the pics. She is starting to look like a young lady now....
  18. I hope you told them he was a pug cross lab, Jess!
  19. Oh no!!! Poor Tobe!! He's supposed to be strutting this weekend. I hope he is feeling better very quickly. Sorry about all your other sad news, Bec. It will still be lovely to see you tomorrow, though. I did set up in the middle today - hoped I was in the right spot! I left a bit of a gap between my spot & yours Bec so that a trolley will fit through. Chester had another ivermectin shot today and he now has hair growing back so I think he is on the mend. Aurea has had some extra handling, so I hope she behaves a bit better in the ring tomorrow. Off to get kids to bed and wash dogs. Has anyone seen how many shows are on over the next couple of months up this way????? HEAPS!!!
  20. See you there, Aziah! You get to see your pick puppy all grown up! Glad you're back - how was your trip?? Jess, you and Leo are welcome to squeeze in with me if you like in my little gazebo (there is room) - otherwise one of the others will have heaps of space in their luxury 3x3 units! I need to start entering lotto - we need a bigger gazebo (or another small one to put next to this one) and a trailer!!
  21. Did Kite have chiro today too? How'd she go? How is poor Toby?? Going to be another big weekend!! Two shows on Saturday, then Hunter Animal Rescue is having its picnic day at Speers Point on Sunday (if anyone is interested in having a look I'll be there handing out balloons!).
  22. Hey Hunterhound - how did you go with Maja on Sunday? I saw you go around in Sweepies and she looked great, but didn't get a chance to catch you after that as I was running all day! I should really try to get there - after school sports carnival, puppy vaccinations, 2 x soccer training - maybe!!
