  1. Kind thoughts & hugs to you and your little boy, melcatlady. Such a hard but brave decision.
  2. I resisted for a while but bought one today, and one of the agility tunnels as well. We are always juggling dogs here, so an extra crate will come in handy, and the price is amazing.
  3. Dogmovers are reasonable and friendly. They do QLD to Sydney, and I think GT Transport (hope that's right) do the southern leg. I had Dogmovers bring a 10kg boy from Sydney to just past Newcastle yesterday for $95. I have used them quite a few times and they have been great every time.
  4. .......... only if they don't slip on the peels!!!
  5. I haven't done agility yet, but I think the medium size would be a bit small for a border. I have Aussies, and have just sent an enquiry asking about the larger size they mention.

    About Time

Do you think this person would have received the same penalty/sentence if he was in Australia? My feeling, only from my own observations, is that the likelihood of actually gaining a decent conviction (and actual, ongoing jail-time) for this type of animal abuse is much lower in Australia than it appears to be in the US. Thoughts?
  7. Sounds like some sort of poisoning. Fingers crossed for him k9angel.
  8. You could probably squish them in our lockable trailer for a couple of hours Steph.
  9. Wow Linda they're HUGE!!!!! And it looks like a whole lot of dog now they are up and about a bit. Good job Womby!
  10. Okay, you're forgiven. I know Sue too, so we'll find each other. I can PM you my number when it gets a bit closer.
  11. Hey onstillnflash, Since you didn't come and say hello last year we will have to seek you out this year! We will be up there with Aussies and a min pin, so will see if we can make dinner.
  12. I realise they aren't top quality, but would they be reasonable just for a backyard play?
  13. You would shudder to know the mess that is under that patch! :D Not sure I would be very good at a repair business - poor ted had his eye ripped out and had to wait about 6 weeks for surgery, so the waiting list needs some work.
  14. Rocky Ridge have not taken over, they have always been there, since before Frozen Puppies started. Their facility is in the same building at Calga, but you need to arrange to have the semen shifted from the Frozen Puppies tank to the Rocky Ridge one, with the appropriate paper work, if you want to change to Rocky Ridge for storage. They are two different companies that just happen to share the same building. I had a mild moment of panic when I tried the first phone number the other day and it didn't work, but as Shantiah said you can get through on the 2nd one. They sound like they are still up and going - fingers crossed it stays that way.
  15. Here is what I found in my front garden very early one morning last week when I was about to walk the dogs..... Now that ladybug has a very guilty look on its face, and I'm not sure what it's doing with that stick. I didn't pose it - this is exactly how I caught it! And here are 3 toys that do NOT belong to the dogs (Did you hear that dogs???? They are NOT YOURS!!). They have all had surgery today to replace noses and mend open wounds. Unfortunately the blue teddy's eye couldn't be saved. A little boy still loves them, even with their repairs.
  16. Oh - I thought Aylah was the one! I need names that really mean something to me, so each of our dogs (and our children, for that matter) has been named for a special reason. Even "Stella" which is very common has a reason behind it. I can look at any of our names and they make me smile for one reason or another. Names are like poetry to me. Choose one that you are going to enjoy for the life of your gorgeous girl. Pick something that sings to you, and bugger the rest of us!
  17. No way would I even THINK about letting them apply for a pup. If it is genuine and that's their best effort then how much effort are they going to put in to looking after a pup? Lazy, rude sods.
  18. Stella means "star". But I guess that's taken. Good luck with it.
  19. ;) Kind wishes to you and your family. It sounds like your lovely boy had the best life possible.
  20. Brigitte or Bardot?? She loves animals too.
