Oh forgot to add that I wouold agree with you one som,e points re certain breeds Sandgrubber. I wont go as far to say that a BSL blanket situation should be thrown over them,its been shown not to work anyway,but I do reckon something needs to be done .Breeds such as the Presa,which is being used as an example , I dont believe should be part of society as a whole either.Ther ARE bred for human aggression.They ARE bred to bite unprovoked. We do need asome common ground somewhere surely.

I have always quite liked the look of these dogsbut dont know a great deal about them,this is a great thread. One of the things I have heard is that they can be unstable around people,well different people,people out of its own back yard so to speak.Is there any truth to this?

Sandgrubber I was being sarcastic lol Rex continues on about 'his' gloried breed ,meaning no offence to the othe GSD peopl,but they were banned once too. The Pit has done very little to earn such notorious fame , particularily in Australia . I would like to know if Rex has met a Pit.Actualy not just met,nut really met,interacted with the dog.Or many of them. Or in fact none of them. I'm curious. We have all been saying for years now its the dits that own them , not the dogs. Who knows,maybe we are getting somewhere.

Can I ask Tybrax,why you seem so adament that there is no-one qualified to ID a dog here ? Bustam,apologies mate,yes I was just generaly speaking,not aimed at you. And PPS, states many things that are plain and simple truth. But why was the dog declared restricted? Wasnt it assesed as only part ? Which means after failing the temp part it should of just got slapped with a dangerous dog.

And another thing,you say that the dogs were well behaved etc etc but that one was escaping the yard.That alone is enough reason to bring council fools knocking and gives them something to go on. And why was the dog not adequetly contained in the first place? If youre going to own these dogs then make sure they cant get out,simple as that.Otherwise,dont own one.

Why is it that Amstaff breeders having anything to do with all this is bad and all the rest of the drama going on here? The dog was classed as part but was then labeled aggressive so what they were advised is quite correct.They have to follow the rules for a dangerous dog now. And no,thats not saying I agree with the way it was done.
