Where Can I Buy Meat At Wholesale Prices
Winterpaws replied to wishniks's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I just put in my first order with Cliff. I would have bought from Myella but I cannot get there during their opening hours -
Does anyone have any good links with information on athritis in dogs. I think my 8.5 year old ridgey girl is suffering from it and it seems to be getting worse. i noticed a few months a go that she had started groaning when ever she moved around and particulalrly when she was in a sitting/lying position. I took her to the vet and he gave me some cartrophen injections which helped a little (she already has glucosamine added to her diet) Her groaning has started up again so back to the vet but just wondering what treatment options are out there? What is the prognosis for dogs with this and what sort of pain would she be in. She seems happy enough although she lo longer really likes a long walk and is happy with a 10 minute plod down the road and back. Gosh so many more questions but will add them later. I'm a bit worried about how she will handle the cooler weather......

Big Henry had that as well and we did get on top of it but not as well as we would have liked There is a thread about some EPO supplements and shampoos here - http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=123683 Might be worth looking into as well or even chatting with Westiemum?

I received word this morning that one of our gorgeous foster girls has passed. Bundy came to Winterpaws from DAS along with another malamute Caesar. We were fostering a mangey puppy at the time so Bundy spent some time at our favourite boarding kennel and impressed all who met her with her absolutely gorgeous nature. She came to our place and was in the foster yard with a young pup and proved herself to be the momma matriach patiently teaching the young pup manners, in her gentle way We did not think she would be adopted as an older girl with health issues but an angel in Victoria desperately wanted to adopt her and so Bundy set off down to live with her new mum. All the reports I received were amazing and it was obvious that she was the most loved girl and thoroughly spoilt. Sadly this weekend Bundy passed from a suspected blood clot on her lungs. It breaks our heart and that of her mum It has been a very sad day in the WP household ...... RIP Bundy Bear

I have them and have found them fantastic - they are more like a martingale than a head halter. They work really well on Henry the 65 kilo pulling machine!

Looking For Experienced Trainer

Henry had eyes like her when he first came out of the pound (same pound too ) It was because he was just so run down and sick. He had a couple of courses of Cephalexin and everything settled down with time and good food. We bought huge bottles of saline and every morning we would gives his eyes a "flush" out to dislodge all the garbage and mucus. It was quite horrid I was saying to Storm that I have seen dogs like this before come out of this pound. If it is not mange then I think it is probably very severe flea dermatitis. Because we are coastal some of the houses right near the beaches have major issues with fleas and the owners just don't stay on top of them. Not sure if you saw the thread last year on Bronson who was a rotti that we rescued from that pound. He was exactly as you described and his coat and condition came back within weeks. We just fed him a good diet, flea treated and wormed him and he bounced back really quickly She is GORGEOUS. Are you keeping her?

Does This Sound Strange To You?

Could it have been the heat? I know we leave for work around that time and it has been very muggy and humid this week. Charlie has been a right pest and refusing to go outside because of the heat -
Awwww I love the Cody boy!!! He's sporting some very funky socks!

Is anyone buying from Myella at the moment? I'm trying to find their contact details and the current price list TIA

Kangaroo Meaty Bones In Sydney
Winterpaws replied to Dogs4Fun's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Myella might have them - forgotten their email addy but if you look in the white pages you will find them. They are very cheap for dog food! Sometimes Coles has them in the dog section - but having a brain fart and cannot remember what they are packaged under. They are vacuum sealed and marketed as a meaty bone for dogs -
Interesting stuf - little Mighty Mouse from HP is a constant licker/scratcher and his legs and paws seem red and hot all the time. I might enquire about some products for him Would also be interested in how effective it was for Henry.... Sas is that the McDowell Blood Cleanser - that stuff is fantastic!!!!

Yes we lost a foster through tetanus - well her new owner did We had an mallie girl who got it about a week after going to her new home. Her owner raced her to the vet and the vet diagnosed tetanus immediately but sadly she passed away. Vet saihe he had only ever seen 2 cases of it and Alecia was the first death

She is riding on the coat tails of Oprah and has a heap of video on her site and also special reference to video with her on Oprah so you *might* find it there I'll look through youtube as well for you I'm sorry but I have no time for people who call themselves dog trainers with absolutely no mention of any training or qualifications on their site
