hello i was just wondering if there is anywhere in melbourne that has agility equipment (courses) that can be hired out to the public for run throughs? i am not currently at a club but would love to take him through a full course as compared to backyard agility equipment. thanks for your help

oh i hope it doesnt go around the world! cant they just have their own one!! i mean they could have two! one like the olympics and one just for australians i cant see why not! i hope they will do one in victoria i would love to see some dock diving action in victoria!! we could do it at rod laver arena or whatever it is called please let dock diving became a well known sport in victoria!! really wanna give it a go!!

my favourite dog trick book would have to be 101 dog tricks! by kyra sundance and her dog chaly she has a new book out too which i havent yet seen but its for puppies and features her pup jayde! just love her training its so easy step by step!

wow thanks vickie i dont ever let him off the lead because i know he wont come back, i train with him on a long line if i plan on doing distance work. when i say he chases birds i am talking about him being on lead and dragging me to get to them, lunging out! i reward him when he is focused and when he does something good but its very hard for him to be good if there are birds around. he wont even take food from me when he is in that state of mind. so i cant get his attention back. i know i will just have to keep working with him which i will. its just fustrating because he will focus at the park near me but not the training grounds. something has to click with him. i swear the birds are taunting him they fly in low all around him. thanks for all your help:)

i would love to try herding, that being said he doesnt have a reliable recall becuse he isn't focused. at the million paws walk in melbourne this year there was a herding expo and lets just say rusty was very reactive to the sheep. do these herding clinics know how to stop the dogs from hurting the sheep if tehy see a problem?

he loves toys at home but when he cross threshold he wont listen, he wont pay attention, cometimes wont even take the food and definitely wont play tug! any help??? the training i go to is group and all trainers i have spoken to are just like. "oh well he is only a baby(2 years old nearly) he will grow out of it" it's fustrating you knoww

how is it an undesired trait in a herding breed?!?! If you dont want a herding dog dont get a herding breed! Christ. for starters i never said that i didnt want a herding breed! i love rusty with all my heart! i was just hoping somebody here could help me with this indesired herding instinct towards other dogs and birds! i would love to challenge his mind and go herding one day! it would be great! i did alot of research on this breed and i understand tehre demands! i attend weekly dog training since he was a pupppy. so please dont say that i shouldnt have got a border collie thank you

its seems to be more of a herding instinct but its getting really annoying my leg has got in the way twice now!! and this has to stop! i can put him into a drop but he then gets into his herding stance! he also chases birds and doesnt pay attention he also runs past my beagle and nips as he runs past i cant stop him! ive tried too please can anybody please help me thanks

i know that there is already a forum which lists agility clubs but i was wondering do any of you Dols know any short 4 week programs which do agility? im in the mill park area so anything you guys know of i would love to see! im desperate!! so please anytthing thanks for your help in advance

oh ok im not sure i quite understand? so do you havea turning board or not? i practiced his running and jumping today but i dont have a board so he just runs up toa stationary balls grabs it and runs back

i am interested in training my border collie the baiscs of flyball and and for this ive decided i need some form of box. i have realised i cant afford a real one so have decided to make a turning board! does anybody have one and know of plans? or is anyone selling one in melbourne victoria at a reasonale price? if so can u PM me thanks for any help:)

RIP Snupz:( you were a beutiful boy. your personalitly showed in every photo and every video i saw. you will be loved for all of time. you truley were a special dog, and friend to sam. she worked so hard with you and it showed. goodbye our little friend but not forever run free with all your mates and i know molly will loof after. my little angel in heaven.
