ok, am still home til wed so i will just change the frequency and really stick a rocket up OH.. I don't understand why he can't just keep watch.. It's not hard! He 'supervises' but then gets distracted and thats when the problems start.. He will soon work it out when i'm not home to tell him to take puppy out.

Had similar but that was because the vet didn't inject it in the right spot so the lump was just vaccine fluid..... Diesel just gets flat for an hour or so, Bundy don't know yet.

We love our little man but he is frustrating us a bit at the moment. Yes we have only had him a week but up until 2 days ago he was telling us when he needed to go outside and would hold until we got the back door open for him. I take him out every 20mins, he'll do a wee 9/10 on command straight up, so we'll stay out there 10 mins or so to see if he does a poop. He generally doesn't unless we stay outside playing for longer. Take him inside, within 5 mins he's done one.. Today because of the weather it was pee too, even though we kept up the 20 min toilet stops and stood out there till he went.. it's like he has a never ending bladder at the moment and he's not even drinking or eating much.. We went out last night and he held on for the whole 8hrs we were out then went straight outside (after an accident inside in excitement as we were taking him to the door). He also sleeps through the night from 9pm until 5.30am so he CAN hold it.. Should I just start taking him out sooner and try 10 min blocks or what?? It's not like he cannot hold it in, it's like he's forgetting he has to go to the back door.. Also how the hell do I train the OH to pay attention to when the puppy needs to go out.. Most of his accidents are when OH is around and not me! Second he sniffs, he's out the door, OH is just treating him like our other dog then getting angry (not at puppy just in general) when there ends up being a mess because he didn't listen.. He's going to be the one home with him nearly all day from when I go back to work on Wednesday, so I'd hate to see what happens with the toilet training then Roll on puppy school on Wednesday night..

My puppy did the same for a day or so when he came home. New environment new stimulation equals unsure puppy. Now he's fine We would just ignore him and continue playing with our other dog and now he's nearly as noisy

Though it's not something I'd ever use myself you can now get a 6 month injection for young puppies... Really? We're using revolution on our puppy and will be putting our dog on it too...
-
Injection isn't recommended until the dog is at least 1yr according to my vets.

Put her on a long line so she can swim but you still have control and can put pressure on the lead to encourage her to come back?
-
Psst Tam, I'm in Bentleigh now, I'll pm you my email address for a loooong overdue catchup? Cos, I shall PM you...

Ohhh cosmolo where? I need to do puppy school soon.. but we might be going to the vet with the cow for it.. Depends if OH is taking him or me.

Nik, did you have to ask for any of that stuff or did they have it out? We go to Tasman every fortnight for our food but we go to the one next to Moorabin Airport. I am yet to see any chicken mince or tongue or anything like that.. Have seen the frames though.

Cage. Our dog managed to unclip his harness when in the back of our ute, and the car was only *just* taking off. He jumped out and fractured his pelvis amongst other nasty injuries. I don't remember what else he did as it was before I got with my partner. He is a wreck now and will not go in a car or ute at all anymore without force which is hard when he needs to go to the vet. Once he's in he's fine though. I am trying to convince the OH to get a cage or only travel him in the wagon now as it's not worth the stress on the poor boy. I want to get a cage that can have a toolbox on the other side, do you know where I can price them Nekbet?

Where abouts do you live? Need a more specific area

Where are you in VIC? Our Petstock has some wonderful donut beds in Ormond.

Relax. I would personally only take her to the vet if she vomits repeatedly or starts to look flat and off colour.

We will be taking our puppy out and socialising him when he comes home before he's had his 2nd vac which has been backed up by the breeder. He will not however be allowed to socialise with any unknown dogs, only those already in the family(so we know they're fine, most don't live with us though) and will be carried where necessary until he has had his second vac. So much has changed since I last had a puppy

Gorgeous photos, but I hope you got the permission of the horses owner/s to be in the paddock photographing them.

She is lovely. Is her name spelt Gorgea or Georgia, as you've spelt it both ways? I do like Gorgea though for something different. -

This happened to Diesey dog when we were on holidays.. we gave him some raw chicken and he drank heaps of water and that helped move it.. but I was the poor sucker who had to let him out 7 times in 4 hours till he managed to pass the sucker!! He was fine, but we're now really careful how many dry bikkies we give Dies, as in his case that was what caused the problem. He was a miserable boy till he pooped then was back to normal! -
Oh SP, so sorry to hear :D He will be loved always and never forgotten.
