Waiting For A Puppy This Thread Is For You
Bundyburger replied to jess live die's topic in Puppy Chat
I pick up my boy at the Domestic air express. Don't go all the way in or you will arrive at the Internationals air express. Seeing you are from VIC, just turn left before you reach the airport. The right side is for humans. You should see a McDonald there and its very close to the air express. You just go in and tell them your dog's name. They will then ask for your signature. Just a piece of advice. Just bring some water to let your puppy have a drink. Here is Oreo! You turn left at the set of traffic lights as you come into the airport, just before the parking bit.. then you have to take the first right, follow the signs and go down the end and park. It's pretty clear to work out where you go from there Dpends on which airline as to where you have to go as well i think?? If you're really worried, call up the melbourne branch of the company you go through and they'll explain how to find them and where to go. We even did a test run so we could arrive on time Pity he was nearly 2hrs late!!! Enjoy your puppy! -
How do you teach them to toilet on command? What we did was say "Do you need to go toilet?" as we took him outside, then as he toileted we'd use our cue word which was "quick toilet" and would repeat it each time he did his business outside. Now at 9 months if we ask him if he needs to go toilet, he runs to the back door to go outside and does his business on his own. If he fluffs around heaps running around and being annoying i'll give him the command and he'll stop messing about and go to the loo A bit like a child really..

Why do you want him to have one meal dry? If you want him to eat it so badly putting the mince through it will just make him want the mince more rather than the biscuits as it seems he doesn't like it.

Bundy needs to walk around with a bucket.. his drooling is AWFUL. He drives us insane. Every day my work clothes are covered in drool. He will drool for food.. he will drool from stress when locked outside at mum's house.. he will drool if I so much as OPEN the fridge :banghead:q

Does Your Dog Particularly Like Routine?
Bundyburger replied to corvus's topic in General Dog Discussion
Bundy thrives on routine, but as a rule we don't have one. He chucks total spaz attacks if he's not fed at the same time each day (which we ignore even though he can keep going for an hour!) as when he was little we used to be really consistent, not so now when he's on the same feeding schedule. He got into the routine of going to training, when i'd pack up his stuff he'd go wait by the door until it was time to leave, now we don't go he ends up really lost for about an hour as he expects to go places. If I go to leave normally during that time he'll get hyper thinking he's coming too even though he stays home. -
Hey Stormie Do you know where you can buy these refills? I second that.. having the same problem as Fran!! Although I just right clicked on the image stormy found and it looks like Pets on the park??

Does Your Dog/pup Have A Specific Object
Bundyburger replied to Dust Angel's topic in General Dog Discussion
Kong Wubba's don't last here either Underwear.. and the puppy doesn't discriminate, clean or dirty, his or hers they all get ruined. I'm down to 4 pairs and refuse to buy more just yet He will leap up and take them off the clothes horse and break into the laundry!! Socks too but preferably OH's work socks mmm stinky. You can leave Bundy penned, check there is NO underwear or sock anywhere in his vicinity and certainly not in the pen, and come home to a pair in there totally destroyed. We think the other dog goes and fetches them from a secret hiding spot for him -
Bundy gets bones on a regular basis but we always have heaps of carrots for me and also my pony. He'll often get half a carrot when i pop him away before I go to work.. He loves them so much he doesn't notice when I leave. He takes tiny bites and crunches them up so there's carrot all over the floor before swallowing.. then when he's finished he hoovers up the crumbs.

That email going around is false. I hope you've taken your dog to the vet.

Diesel is 3ish and has never cocked his leg. Bundy at 8 months (nearly 9) has cocked his leg ONCE, it really has nothing to do with them being desexed or not. One of our bitches cocks her leg.

Hi Atticus, Iffin u ned a nu hume, cum n lif wit me I luff big dogs, my best fwend squashes me daily. Bundle He is sooo beautiful Bundy totally nailed drop last night with help from his new favourite treat, happy paws cheese. I was telling our other dog to drop after Bundy did one, so Bundy flopped to the floor and lay there like "I've dropped, now where's MY cheese" so of course he ended up with cheese and Diesel didn't.. He's grown so much this week, and a fear period has kicked in.. OH walked from the hall into the kitchen and Bundy didn't notice so he started barking. He's finally found his "big dog voice" his bark is so deep you can't tell if it's him or Diesel.

I suppose, but in that case I've missed out on most of the socialization period! I've only had her a week! Relax, you haven't Just focus on getting her feeling better and everything else will fall into place, you're doing the right thing.

My Maltese Is Getting De-sexed Tomorrow :(
Bundyburger replied to Sasha (Alexander)'s topic in General Dog Discussion
Why do you feel guilty? He's not going to know! He will be fine the next day. I can't wait to get my boy desexed, his bits are ugly -
Perhaps you are not staying out there long enough? Do you let him pee then go straight inside or do you wait to see if there's more? With my pup, we often had to go inside, then straight back out again 2 or 3 times as even if we stayed out for nearly an hr he would still only do one until we went inside then he'd pee again. It only took about a week of this for him to twig. We also did not give him run of the house, if he wasn't supervised every second, he was in his pen, as it was where he slept so he wouldn't soil it(except once when he had no choice!) We now have a fully housetrained 8mth old who even barks to go outside now.

I guess a character reference from an employer would be a start. When I applied to be a foster carer they wanted references from my vets, employer etc. Really, an employer? I personally think a reference from an employer is a bit OTT but that's just me. Maybe a friend or family member but an employer??!! You have to be kidding me.. a reference from an employer is not going to be an indication of whether someone is a suitable owner or not... it is overstepping the boundaries big time.

I have no idea.. don't really pay attention to stuff like that But, i will feel bad for a dog if they are known as Shit Poo though Sadly some people do call them by that name.. it makes them sound like a "real breed" rather than just a cross.. Feed him some nice raw bones and that should help the teeth. My boy had that for a while but the teeth eventually fell out.

Thanks Bundy's Mum, I know I just have to do this and be firm about it. I think it took me a week of pandering to grow a set and be tough I felt AWFUL but now i have a pup who eats whatever is in front of him even if he doesn't like it
-
If she is hungry then she will eat it! There's nothing stopping you taking it away and trying again 10 minutes later. My puppy lost weight because he didn't eat for two days. Soon figured out eating what was in front of him was a good idea! Bundy has almost mastered heel and shake, I'm very pleased!

Hugs Cos, I know how much you love your special man.
