I got that right not the other one I missed the episode, I'll watch it tonight but it sounds like an awful episode..

I've never had tick problems anywhere from Melbourne to the peninsula so i think you'll be fine.

I thought they only do it in OUR own homes not theirs??

Unfortunately that's wrong! Kong Wubbas can be chewed through quite easily.. Took 4 months for my two to get around to it, and that's rare.. normally things are killed in a day. Their second Wubba only lasted a night before they put a hole in it. They still play with the 'skin" from the first one though They are great toys though, Ozpetshop is the cheapest I've found. Our everlasting Fun Ball hasn't been killed yet, its tougher than the Fireplug which I was recently bragging hadn't been killed, but now it has Cuz toys are the best. I can't believe it took 4 months for your dogs to kill a Kong Wubba that got killed in about 2 days here, yet my Leo is going strong and yours lasted a couple of hours Ironic huh Btw, second leo lasted a day and that first leo didn't make it past 15 minutes!!

Get a Dman tug, made by sas on here, we've had both of ours a year and they're still going strong. They're from polar fleece but there's no chance of teeth catching with these. We love them. The tug ball is the only ball my Vizsla will fetch and bring back to me

What Size Greenies To Feed My Dog?
Bundyburger replied to nadz's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Feed bones instead. Greenies are awful, my dogs hate them and it gives them black poop. I'd give him a chicken neck or wing instead -

You aren't leaving her outside long enough!! I discovered I was doing the same when my boy was 4mths and starting to pee in the house. Take her outside, and watch her, and ask her to toilet. You soon learn the signs of a pup with a full bladder and when they hadn't gone fully. My boy would walk with a waddle and his tummy would bloat out and he'd tuck his bum under himself. Often he would toilet once so I'd take him inside thinking he was done and he'd pee again in the house.. so we'd go outside and nothing would happen, back inside and he'd pee. I found with him what we had to do was toilet him, take him inside then repeat the process straight away by going outside. Within a week it got to the point we'd be outside, all i'd have to say was uhuh, you're not finished yet, go toilet, and he'd look at me, sigh loudly(yes he did) and go to the loo again. He would go up to 3 times in one trip. Breaking his focus worked wonders because he'd go ohh hang on i DO need to go and soon realised one trip out was easier than 3-4 it took previously I became so switched on when it came to watching for when he needed to go, even OH has know idea how I know. Now at 11mths old, he'll fly to the back door almost with his legs crossed in the mornings and go in one hit. We timed him for 2 minutes the other night after he'd been inside all day He's gone from being totally unreliable to having a brilliant bladder 98% of the time. He even has a poop routine now that I am yet to see him break. :D I wouldn't say that her inconsistency is due to the fact she doesn't go overnight. Your pup is only a baby, you can't expect things to be perfect straight away and she still only has a teeny weensy bladder. It takes months for a dog to be trustworthy in terms of toilet training. My boy slept through the night within a week of coming home, and he still did exactly what yours is doing now. She is only a baby and she sure as heck isn't playing head games, it's normal puppy behaviour... says she who was being driven mad by the exact same issues

Tough Soft* Toys For Heavy Chewers
Bundyburger replied to princesszelda's topic in General Dog Discussion
The only things we still have in tact are : Kongs, red and xtreme, Everlasting fun ball (but we've only had that a month ) Everlasting Fire plug (as above) Cuz toy Dman Tug and ball, had that coming up 12 months now and both are still in one piece. Everything else has died.. Our Kong Wubba lasted 5 months before they finally killed it.. I don't think our next one will last as long though ETA - I've been banned from buying new toys because everything gets killed :D I did however buy another Cuz and another Wubba last week though -
Yes I do clicker train, I guess I just have to do this one a loooot slower than we normally do He's so funny, he gets confused so he just sits and offers his other tricks instead. I think this will be one that'll take us a while to get

Jack Goes On His First Horse Ride...
Bundyburger replied to k9angel's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
He looks good Can't believe they didn't have a helmet for the kids -
My boy is getting confused with spin.. I hold the treat in line with his nose, and move it to the side and as soon as I shift it past his shoulders, so he'd have to turn to follow the treat, he just sits instead? He has no trouble moving in a small circle when he wants a bum scratch, but to try and get him to spin is near on impossible. Even when I try and make the circle bigger, same deal. How can I remedy this?

I can't seem to get shake to move to high 5. I'd be interested in high 10 too..

If your dog is from a registered breeder, yes you should've recieved them, or at least been told when to expect them.

Getting Involved In Agility...
Bundyburger replied to Bundyburger's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Nooooo, don't do that! You won't need to have Bundy registered in your name until you decide to compete and that can't be before he's 18 months old, so plenty of time! Sweet I can get it done, it just involves lots of hassles... and fees. I'm really excited about getting into agility, I know Bundy will love it. -
Getting Involved In Agility...
Bundyburger replied to Bundyburger's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Thanks Vickie, found one from that link nice and close to home Will get in touch and find out more -
How do you find a club to do agility? Do you have to join a club and then go through obedience classes with them first or how does it work? Bundy's nearly a year old now, and I really want to look into getting into agility with him. There are a few things we need to work on obedience wise first I'm sure but I'd like to find somewhere I can take him with that ultimate goal in mind. I don't know where to begin and search brings up everything with the word agility in it! Also, he's not currently reg'd with Dogs Vic because I lost the rego papers haven't had him transferred over from Tas. It involves jumping through a few hoops on the breeders end to get it done, so it hasn't happened yet because I didn't think it would matter much. I'm guessing I'll need to try and make this happen?

Full time as in no access to outdoors for toilet?? If you're talking in terms of regular toilet training, I found it easier to just teach the dog where i wanted him to go rather than pads, then outside.

13 months isn't a puppy anymore Good luck working that out.. we're lucky we don't seem to have that problem(just lots of others!), ours are too lazy..

Suggestions On Groups In Melbourne
Bundyburger replied to becandcharch's topic in General Dog Discussion
There's Higgins Rd Dog Obedience but I don't like their trainers much.. We go to Underdog in Clayton instead -
This, but I too wouldn't leave them somewhere without secure fencing. She can't watch them every second of the day.

Some breeders send the papers with the pup, others in the mail at a later date. My breeder had a folder with Bundy's blue wool 'collar' from when he was born (I nearly cried when I saw that), his rego papers (Which I then lost ) and a few other bits and pieces. He came on the plane from Tassie. I'm not sure how it works when you pick up from the breeders, but I'm sure you can cover all your questions with them We were lucky, he didn't get car sick. He just curled up on the floor of the car and went to sleep til we got home. Except for when we stopped at Maccas, he woke up screaming, but we were only 5 mins away from home. I ended up nursing the dog and dinner at the same time Good luck for Friday!
