I just got back from Los Angeles After seeing a puppy being "walked out of a pet store" & heard salesperson say "keep him away from puddles/dogs sniffing" I didn't know what to say/do as the poor pup was being dragged out of the store.....I was so far away from saying something All I can say is "NO" and agree with previous posts and this store(in LA) that sells "pure breeds"if I told you all the breeds for sale you would all die ,it is a wealthly area too - it is just sickening seeing them piled up 3 stories high in glass cages Above says it all as far as I am concerned.

My girl was diagnosed with Lymphoma at 11yrs.I chose to treat her with prednisone. She was on one tablet a day for 2 1/2 yrs. All the side effects previously mentioned she had . Unfortunately meaty bones where a real "no go" for her & I did have to change her diet but also gave her fish oil tablets daily which helped her coat. Although she had alot of muscle wastage especially in her final months she still looked forward to her daily walks.

Leaving More Than 1 Dog At Home Alone
kittikat replied to all that glitters's topic in General Dog Discussion
My lads have no food issues with any dog for this I know I am lucky :D& continue to train food tolerance every day. They have learnt it from other dogs so for me it has been easy :D My last girl was so nasty with food so I really concentrated on this behaviour with these two. I walk my boys in the morning @30 mins ...breakfast...they play outside for @ 45 minutes I scatter food treats, put a handful of dry in each bowl for them - then leave for work as others have posted no fuss - just go.... My boys are inside all day (being frenchys) they have learnt 'to share' if not I am not there I have no major dramas (besides the odd destruction :D which has :D diminished) I feel it is all about routine :p I leave same door etc...this way they know I am actually going for a while ie more than 3 hours. They are nearly 12 months old and going really well Good Luck if thinking of another additon maybe go for an older pup ...I did ,actually same age worked really well mainly because they can play the same (as weigh @ the same etc ) and you need less time to supervise activity..... Best thing I ever did & have 2 happy boys to prove it!!! -
My boys "Otto & Pepper" had their 1st doggy xmas party in the park last night I thought I would share some photos as it was fantastic to see so many dogs (10+) of different ages & breeds all socialise so well Maybe it was the "xmas treats" that put everyone in a good mood Arrivals & Greetings to all... The Guests.... Zac - the reindeer Sam greeting Otto Otto & Cooper Otto & Cosmo.....and the three some Pepper, Otto & Miss Polly Buzz with you know who Otto wanting his xmas present Can we go now mum

justnikky congrats on your little frenchy there is a fab frenchie thread in breeders forum and photos must ;) also they give great advice to newbies :D my little otto had same problem and I too was very worried but kept him on bland cooked chicken & rice as mentioned and slowly start to introduce what I wanted him to eat (kibble etc) it worked :D he is fussy too, isn't into canned food which is fine by me as I prefer him to eat kibble/raw meat/chicken etc...he is now nearly 7 months and is feed 2 meals a day which is working out well :D Otto also ate his poo but the breeder & I put it down to boredom & separation - he grew out of it once he started eating better took about 3 weeks but we got there :D OMG! Otto is Yum Yums twin! he is absolutely fabulous. Yummy is doing a bit better today. Little monster and very cheeky. I will post fotos soon. can't wait to show her. Thanks for advice. Where is the forum? Can't find it. go to general discussions page ...on top column is breeders sub forum - click it open and all threads are there - the french bulldog one is somewhere there :D you'll see photos of my ewok "otto' at 6 months...will update them when he is 7 months :D glad to hear Yum Yum is better looking forward to seeing pics

So sorry to hear of what you are going thru .I went thru this only last year even though my darling I had in remisson for nearly 2 years. Each and every day from the diagnosis was special to both of us....my vet & I knew that when her will to eat was up then decisions had to be made - she made the decision for me....you both will know what to do when the time comes. Enjoy each moment , day - and spoil her rotten in the mean time by doing what you are doing & what she wants ..... my thoughts are with you
