We have a stafford (6 years old) and we introduced 2 English Toy Terriers puppies to the household, she is great with them but again as mentioned above ensuring that when they are playing the bigger boofier one keeps their manners is important. Jess hadn't ever shown any aggression with other dogs but ever since we have added the 2 little ones she is a lot less tolerant of dogs coming up to us on our walks. So much so if they try and walk past her to my OH and the little ones she gets a little snarky and I have had to pull her back and separate them.

I used the black dog halti on Jess for a while when she was a puppy, worked ok. I let some of the bad habits creep back though so she walks ahead of me now and pulls occasionally. But I just stop and call her to my side and she calms down and doesn't pull

best I can offer is if you get a hammock type bed for them, stick it out there and and hope for the best Jessie chewed up the first one within a week of having it (it was a shade cloth type with eylets to tie down with cable ties) Then I tried a potato sack kind which lasted a month. Finally I settled on a shadecloth type but with velcro that attaches underneath the bed this one has lasted nearly 2 and a bit years
