I will second this my bags are on the way Sherel went out of her way to get them delivered to me in Adelaide at a very good price I have Adult Puppy and cat coming

I picked up on that as well I actually counted several times in shock Ok they all have papers but I hope they have workers there to help socialize the pups

SA pups must be 8 weeks of age before leaving SA breeders also must transfer ownership of papers to knew owner this could be the reason your papers have not arrived yet after ringing the breeder with the prefix in hand it's a quick call to Dogs Sa to ask if they have been registered

All this time I thought all states required an exam. Which ones don't? I think it should be nationwide to require an exam. I know that South Australia currently does not require an open exam to obtain your breeder's prefix. I also thought Western Australia was the same, and possibly Tasmania? Any locals able to verify please? ETA: At the moment, South Australia does not require you to register ALL puppies in a litter, or to Microchip the pups before leaving. Unfortunatley some SA breeders are taking advantage of this and saving their pennies. It's really only about an extra $80 per pup to do both. SA rule change Jan 2010 ALL pups must come with limited or main papers there is a reminder in October Journal page 24

They will freight it though. I am awaiting a sample and if the dogs like it I will order a bag in and see how they go on it as a supplement to raw. She did say they are sending to SA and some people order 2 bags at once as it is more economical to do so but I don't think I would go through it quick enough. My friend in Vic had a bag of Black Hawk delivered yesterday her dogs went crazy over the bag itself she had to fight them to open it her fussy eater just loved it It's not in SA yet but as soon as it becomes available my dogs and cats will be switching

I lost my son 8 years ago if I didn't have my dogs I would have never got through it they understood me without demands when I cried one howled with me

I think it is at least a start we all know most pet shops buy their pups at 6 weeks not vaccinated to sell on impluse with the cute factor I personally do not think this will stop g--y he has been at way to long and will find away around it hopefully I'm wrong

Wouldn't touch the stuff from Lenards a friends Poodle passed at 7 months from toxic mince from there and that was about 2 months ago I had bought it before that went straight in the bin it stunk I go to Pet Chef all nice and fresh if I order the day before they do 5k batch without perservatives very good prices

Ummm sorry but that is against the rules of ANKC. The breeder must transfer the papers. The breeder you got your dog from just saved themselves some money by having you pay for it and if they did this with every pup (especially in large litters) they are getting away with a small fortune. There is also no way to know for sure that the new owners have done the transfer, which if not the dog is still technically in the breeders name and can be blamed if anything happens. I give a copy of the pedigree in the pups folder and the original pedigree is sent out to them in a few weeks. Have never had a problem doing it this way and have never had buyers question me. I have always received my papers with the breeders signatures on the back in the mail for me to sign and send to Dogs NSW and had to pay for my own transfers of nearly $50 I think per dog.... No names need to be mentioned - "no breeders restrictions", at least the advert has changed from only dogs with major faults should be placed on limited register.... umm yes i am interested in this too. After the hell I went through to get my papers, it was sent to me with the breeders signature on the back and it has been left upto me to send it in Do you live in Victoria? I hear you we have had mice come in as well thats their big mistake my Ragdolls stomp them dead don't eat them they are to well fed for that just kill them no more mice
