he not suggesting stones, but that cause he seems not to be drinking the urine gets crystals which form like a blockage intermittently. looking for ways to make things happen better. vet suggested putting extra salt on his food like a pinch, to make him thirsty, but he just does not go looking for it, or seems to forget where to look. will look at the site. thanks for the reply.

well turns out the doggie we just got saturday (leo the dalmation) has a urinary problem. 1 he forgets to drink :D (today it snowed and he was licking the snow off the car) bucket of water in the workshop. 2 he seems therefore to have cloudey urine. (spots of blood at the end) vet has seen and prescribed meds. vet say's he thinks tis crystalline urine. he was getting home brand tin and biscuits at old home. now getting dog pro 4x 2 biscuits. very similar to the old fashioned dog biscuit(for those old enough to remember that was about the size of a slice of bread. these are half that. protein 12% all natural recommended for dog with diabetes and allergies

some don't mil's Scottish terrier got sick the day he died on the way to the vet. she never fed him before a car trip or he would very time. i had a jr who did till she was old and grey. so some grow out of it some don't i know that's not much help, but limiting or no food before travel can make it better.
