well wriggle fried rice is the term for it in shearing sheds.... it looks a bit like rice when they hit a patch and they all fall out of the fleece on to the floor..... i thought every one knew the term! must be just us poor simple country folks.... -

ok to set the scene.... winter time there is a dead bit of roo sitting around for the border colliie to snack on. it has maggots in the meat lots of wiggle rice...... :D so said doggie gobbles up the meat and heaps of wriggle rice, dog waits a while then throws up the wriggley rice and stinky roo.... by now it's stinkier......and the wriggley rices is still moving.. next i think you can guess.... . . . . . . you'd be right she ate the rice for a second go.... nice not :D -
my jrt fetches his ball but can still do a muffled bark around it.... sounds funny and guests laugh and throw the ball....

leo was getting home brand and was sick. we got him a brand called dog pro... not sure what is in it... but a friend said she researched it and they have very little preservatives. we used there 4x2 biscuits too! his health has been much better on them.... but they are not expensive...at our local rural supplies $22.00. makes your wallet glad. they do sound simliar you boy and mine.... when hot he will sit and pant rather than drink... shish...
-
i would mix his biccy's up with egg to a paste.... try and get some from a shop past there useby.... they might be cheaper.... or get friendly with a farmer who might have duck eggs and stuff. i nearly cryed... hell i would be panic stricken had that happen to leo....my vet said stones can happen if doggies doesn't drink enough.... so maybe put a tea spoon of milk in water makes leo drink or vegiemite.... or any thing smelly he might like to keep him hydrated. i often give leo extra water in his food.... or extra water with milk to make him drink.
-
my jrt would be beside himself... he would want them all too! he too painfull he can find one no matter where he goes...
-
leo who is a dally but has the personality of a snugly teddy bear scares even teenage children. it's his size... our foxie cross will take your fingers off the knucles more likely.... but he is a snugler too! leo's snappy tongue it goes in and out with a big snap..... he's likely to taste you to get left overs from your lunch.
-
i might have to try and take a pic of it this arvo... has only taken 9months for him to learn it...so has barking at the cows out the window... tis very funny.
-
hey sc, tis nice when they learn normal things. leo has now learnt to play with humans..... he hides behind a traffic cone.... no i know you can still see him. he can't see you and therefore he jumps out at you going booo! he lifts his head up really high to get a better look if you don't come quickly enough. if you go slowly it get the better of him and he jumps out before you get even close.
-
like pointee... our dally leo does vertical drowning... it's so funny we have encouraged him heaps... just for the entertainment value. what i found at the beach was if i held the tail up he could swim. when you let go of the tail he drowns. i thought they could all swim.

i put up a post in another forum i frequent as there were some requests in the last couple of months for any needing a home or care.

wow he's come along way in a short time. leo went to town on the weekend being a country hick now days he finds town roolly interesting. he sat in the shop and waited while i talked and ordered stuff all on lead of course (dog friendly shop too), we only had one almost child tasting(well he like to lick the faces of small children) they smell like food.... or leo thinks so.
-
um my dally talks differently to other dallys its a tottally different tone.... the noise of it.... very funny tho. does not do it with other breeds. not even our jrts....
-
ok time to wheel out the childs fave jokes.. what do you call a squashed dalmatian? a flat spot! :rofl what do you call a poodle that eats shampoo? a shampoodle! :D ;)
-
i am sure there are lots more "broken" ones out there.... you lot are just hiding them.... :D :D all mine growl at vistiors from inside the lounge room, rather than the gate.
-
would any one swap their doggie? not me..... even tho he adopted one of the visting friends his eyes were firmly on his mummy....... yes he's also a mummies boy. the jrt plays soccer with a basket ball... and not one other dog or the grass is allowed near HIS ball. for one of our farm turnout class we were gunna use the foxie cross as a (foxiexchi) foxie stand in for rabbits, why cause the 2x jrt would both exit the cart at speed.
-
ok so this weekend another show the first for awhile.... the security system aka leo the dumatain... is take for the ride to sit up proudly in the cart looking regal. also to as the reputation suggests to protect our truck from passers by... well he spent saturday arvo following cart all good... the it got DARK :D :D well the famous bump in the night .... at tea time... where was leo? .... under the chair... ;) ok so given the benefit of the doubt.... sunday his jobs now don't forget... protect the gear from strangers (that being people he did not know) well he adopted every human that came to say hello... then in between slept in his crate. he however on 2 occasions protect us fiercely from the toy poodle with about 6 rosettes stuck all over it.. and the strange foxie that passed by... so that is a fail on job number one.... job number 2 sit upright in the cart and be alert for danger... un no it's much nicer curling up in the tray of the sulky.. oh and tasting the stewards with his big snappy tongue.... so job number 2 a big fail.... ;) so as a breed dumbmantians have a rep for being snappy, protective and energetic.... he appears to be defective do you think as a breed thing we should return him for replacement??????

Clipper Blade Sharpening By Hand.
voloclydes replied to Christina's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
we have a set of olster clippers and have acess to shearing grinding gear. living rural everything is long term with sending off expensive etc i only have one set of blades. so we are going to do ourselves. -
well the jrt is the most ball obcessed dog ever..... no matter where i take him he seems to find tennis balls growing on the ground.. in the lest likely spots.... now i have the video cable i will have to put up the vid of him at the beach with basket ball. currently stuck down the straight drop creek bank. might have to get child to resuce it later today.

could this not be a misunderstading. as in re homed or non breeding stock? only....

my dallys broken, he is laid back, but we live on acres so they the 2xjrt and foxiex play all day together. if he gets out he loves it if he doesn't the couch is good too. he is 18mo and still very much the puppy. he did chew stuff when i got him. these days we seem to have out grown it. sometimes if he's home alone........ and in a mood he will chew something to death. i should give them more bones... but i hate paying for them and prefer to have home killed. he does like company, and will grizzle when home alone... step son hates it... but then he's not really doggie apart from the odd rumble.
