nah i have never been bothered to go to that extreme but me and the OH do tend to go in and make fun of prices and pure x breeds loudly..... so much so we get the eye.... and sometimes the poor staff come over asking can i help..... i ask explain a pure bred cross breed can ya lovie? or so a pure breed mutt? like you find at a pound? or a henzi varitity. or explain the hwy robbery price? when both those pure breeds go for around a 1k each... and you have 1.5k price tag? -
well if he has moved away even more reason for him to be bitter, also less risk of being a suspect.... he may not harm you or yours but you never know.... fire crackers can be thrown out of a moving car.... and as posted above most of us are not that anon on a public forum... if you know enough about some one you can pick who they are by what they say. it only takes one of his mates to see 2 posts and they then think you are on a vendetta.

unless you have lived in there house you cannot ever be sure if he did not hit her. if he did and she know you reported the hounds to the police she will never admit she's been abused. they never do! even i they admit it, they then change there story. if he's a nasty controling prick maybe you need to be more concerned about your own yard. as this sort of person tends to retaliate instead of complain to the police. who knows what he might throw over your fence.

funny there are lots of dallies in rescue atm.... no room at the inn to speak. there were also older ex show dogs for sale too.
-
so true above.... but claps hands..... weather you like it or not the pups are on the way you have made sure this one (owner) got away and will have her view so tainted she will sing your behaviour from the top of every tree for a very long time. but after reading this days of our lives drama lama thread which is very entertaining... i fail to see how it promotes the breeding of a reg litter.... just so dol don't flame you.....shows how helpful people are regardless.

nah swap ya! our lot have bones... lots of beef leg bones and tendons and fat... the farts even smell greasy.

 encouragement he's doing quiet well on his own thanks..... i think he needs the discouragement to eat all those scrummy pickings in the paddock. like horse poo, cat poo bits of this and that!! we thought stitches might be the solution

um yes we have the toilet roll drama too... leo also drinks from the everlasting well given a chance if we forget to shut the door. he has also gained weight and is big for his breed (dally). my vet keeps saying 30kg or less. last weight was 33.9kg. so he's now on a diet. he is getting less food than ever before and still not loosing. 1 cup of kibble and veg if i have leftovers. last night he had a big bone from the beast we killed and he ate the lot in an hour nothing left. tonight no kibble again and a leg bone for tea. he does tend to be a grazer, any thing he can find and being out on acres this is hard to stop. i thought abut a muzzle but i think he would just suck it in round the edges...

oh did that trip but in reverse he left his old dog home, but thought it would have been ok to take him. you can leave them at your camp if going into national park.

when you bag your daughter partner you bag her because he was her choice... she will keep choosing him to save her own feelings. same theory as baging a childs parent teaches them they are no good. he is a big part of her life.... how hurt would you be if your mum came onto a forum and wrote what you have but about your crap husband! and you saw it? mostly likely you would be devastated.
-
yes i know how you guys feel.... eating broken glass would be funnier... why did it no die a peaceful death i have no idea!
-
this thread again.... you these sort of thread makes me think i can make money by collecting all the fox tails i see on the road kill. do they only need to be dryed? or some thing special?

:D you mean the yard is where dogs go zoomies..... oh i thought that was the lounge! compared to the land i own my yard is small too small for even the littlies to go zoomie in due to the shape. they do go out to the paddock. this arvo its cold.. like temp is now 1.9degrees.... they have not even even been out for a wee since before tea.... it will freeze tonight there i NO way any of this lot will even volunteer to even pee! in winter they play and train in the lounge...

yeah well the jackets that have no zippers etc just go to the tip! but i only saw just then your in sa.... if any one else wants some? -
you can't be too hard on these owners who are re homeing.... they have not done too bad in my mind. see you guys are judging via a puter (almost a crystal ball type) in your warm lounge room. the people whom have the dogs had a mum die from a c section. they hand reared the pups from 0 days old.... when it would have been far easier to have pts with mum. they have given it i would say a go... for what ever reason they haven't done such a great job.... but the motives to me sound good... now that may be lack of knowledge it might just be carelessness who knows. in my lounge room and not having been there or even been them..... who knows i might have found myself in there shoes given all the same circumstances. you need to give the benefit of the doubt.... no meaning to be rude but who knows.... compassion and empathy for other cost us nothing.

charcol stops a farting dog...from stinking. um no tryed it.... made nice black poo!
-
i don't often write or type well enough to paint the picture i want... today i am worse i have a man cold....dieing i tell ya. trust me tho if it is not to be i won't risk any of my lot just to be a martyr! horus is always in the dally thread.. so i will ask if i need something... oh and my vet is a great mate this year nearly 5k in vet fee's so far! if they all get on inside will be where it's at snow forecast this week and there is no way i could leave a northern dog out in our weather even with a shed.
-
i have one normal xxl crate. i have another ordered 2 days or by the end of the week it should be here. we also have 2 houses and 2 yards. my/OH yard is nettting and dog proof. i have barb as a top row. i also have an old shed and yard which doubles as a dog yard or in the past chook house. no chickens for a very long time... i too hope it goes well, i don't like sending an animal over the bridge. i just keep thinking star fish.... the old story of the small child on the beach after a storm throwing back stranded star fish. along comes an adult whom says there isn't any point child.... there are far too many and you will never make a difference. to which the child answers as throwing another back.... it sure made a difference to that one! just throwing another star fish back into to the ocean.

well one side is 6 foot netting the other only standard farm height.... which most city/townie dog owners its far to low.... none of my dogs can get over it or out it. a cow has recently trashed it yesterday.... let me tell you the cows owner will be repairing it as well. oh it has electric round the outside too to keep out horses. so if anyone climbs it they do tend to only do it once! all these factors while being standard in the bush are not understood or even approved of by town people, and will more than likely now get me flamed.... so hence the need to tell a fence fib! imo it's dog proof. from my house it is over 3km to the road... i have 3 neighbours who are around most days so if they escaped they would be seen and caught... same as we have done for the neighbours. i answered a million times on average 6 calls per day to people who wanted a million questions. most times to find dog was going to the best friends second cousin... not sure why they even bothered to ask. i won't go down the rescue track ever again. i took huge amounts of time writing emails and making calls to which most never bothered to return the message or email. it took a huge chunk of my life for very little return.

ok well the op will collect them next wednesday...... and decided how they are outside of there home... then sometime between then and the weekend when i will pick up the one i will foster..... there will be a mushroom cloud which every dol member will see... that will be when i tell mr clydes. the rest will be easy. i will say a public thank you to the lovely generous barkon. as she will be helping us.... so only one dally will need to be pts or have a foster carer found. op takes 2 to re home me one that leaves one. so if your thinking of helping out now is the time to put your hand up! you can pm me or the op.... who is a lovely generous lady in her own right.
-
see imo what sort of fence do you have? the only right answer i found was 6' colour bond... which i can't afford. my yard is traditional farm fencing barb on some sections and normal netting on the sides... but the dogs are rarely alone in it any way.... oh the dog that i applied for that needed colour bond was a digger! wtf? some people do have very set answers in mind when they ask and imo they get a x too bad so sad for the applicant. in the end i started answering yes.... in my mind that was not a huge lie because OH has one side on his yard. if i said colour bond every person who asked the fence question said great! :D for me you do what ever is necessary, if that includes being arrested then so be it. i once did almost get arrested due to putting my horse first... durring a flood trying to get past a police road block to save a horse stabled along a flooded creek. others would have backed down and said oh well its only a pony!

my choice was to not have a puppy. i have done the puppy thing in the past, but decided not any more. i work i have a child who is like a mini cyclone... 4 other small dogue. thought i would look around for a dogue of dally breeding whom was 1-3yo. after looking (via rescue) for 8 mo and being told i needed a huge expensive colour bond fence.... what for on a rural property i am not sure. i purchased leo via a trading post add. if i had not paid for him he may have gone via a pound or rescue. he was only 10mo. now a year on he is very well mannered and a delight. apart from being clingly to me. i can understand that as i am his third owner in his short life. i wanted a particular breed a dally! one of the rescue ladys got really upset when she tryed to give me a "just like a dally but without the spots" leo is now part of our show team, with clydesdales it is a tradition. which is my reason for having him. also another reason why some of the foster carers said i was not suitable... their idea was it was a fashion statement. getting any sort of pet requires a comittment and if you take your time, "the right one" will find you. leo found me and i would not have it any other way! as for the shedding mention above.... leo doesn't shed much... only twice a year...6mo in summer and 6mo in winter.... i noticed yesterday my lappy key board is full of white 'matian hair! i have also tryed to convince the OH that dog hair is a condiment.... as sugested on here he's not buying it so far.

sounds like our local pound, dogs if not claimed are often pts. there was one ranger there in the 90's who had a no kill policy and would pick up re homed dogs who tryed to return to their old home for free..... she was sacked..... guess it weren't trendy then. they have no web only do adverts in the paper from time to time. rscpa lady does tend to foster a lot...and has great sucess. she uses the local pet shop to display some too. cats as well.
