yes i would take mine but the last time i did i nearly coped a fine. why because i work in a national park, i was taking to the vet after work to get sniped but the ranger was not impressed.

wow he is spoilt. i buy about $25.00 worth of cheapie biscuits which leo( very large dally) gets 1 margarine container full per day and is still gaining weight. also feeds the 4 small dogs as well for a whole month. i bought some leads a harness and a collar last week all on sale they cost $26.50.... i haven't bought any toys for a while... yeah i am a cheap skate.

don't stress i made a polar fleece one (thanks to kmart for the special and dol for advertising) she's not rooly keen on it. tends to go round and round....

i have been sick with a nasty cough..coughing worse than a cat with a hair ball... ;) i have tryed to take nice pic but sophie doesn't sit still.... there are some old ones in the dally thread... if i can get her to be still i will try to shrink and post just feeling lousy..... her new nick name is queen pee'r (thanks for that woodbyne) :cry: she thinks the carpet is the best place to pee!

oh dear the bitch peed on the carpet again. she holds on till she can get on it. she has been outside all day. i was at work. got home and 1 hour in side and she peed! oh well i guess its better than dead!

well kirty, sophie will go out for 20min and come back in like a rocket to pee in side on the carpet. like this morning. that b! in all senses of the word. did the same to the OH so she is banned in the morning. needs to stay out even if freezing. so it aint gunna be easy.

it's all right the OH said even basic wire runs would cost in excess of $50k.....he also says 160km from canberra is the arse end of the world. hes simply not interested. so i would guess it aint gunna happen as he thinks "it a whole waste of time".... so thanks guys...

i don't think i would want to do normal boarding but a mate sugested it to me. she has a neighbour who is doing it... owner pays food and per week. thought it might be a nice job....that would mean i could be home in the arvos to collect child., while doing a small part time job in town. we are far out of town area... so nice country atmosphere no loons to let dogs out etc.. 4 doggies might pay the bills and keep the provable wolf from the door.

does anyone take in long term boarder for a weekly fee? how do you do it? what do you charge? how long do they stay?

lanolin is great home brand is only about $2.00 a tube... so not expensive.

hey rottie, i forgot the address too! chelle~aussie~dr? ...... has a second hand coat.... will get her to find out what size.... tomorrow will be her health check up at the vet.. too!

huge break thru this morning. woodbyne said she is a bit shy around men... well this morning OH and her had a cuddle on the dog couch..... oh and when he sits on it she will wriggle round behind him and snuggle into his back... lets say he's a bit smitten, and can't understand why anyone would dump her. thanks for your dontation rottie... tis very much appreciated.... photos will be posted.... if she will stand still long enough. pm sent.

maybe do what spotty chic did. become these peoples friend and help them they may not know any better. things will get better for the dogue that way and another by passes being pts in a pound! some folks just need to know better to do better with there animals. basic training or walks might help... if the family walks with you you can walk and talk no pressure.... gently gently gets the worm.

how bout tomorrow before work? tape measure in the shed which is locked and its -2.5 outside.... thats my way of saying to cold and too lazy there are so many in rescues atm.... horus is full... etc....please she won't know if we find pre loved. rottielover you are a caring person... and welcome in the dally thread please don't feel that your not! i had a fair idea of what i was getting into with sophie... taken on some weird strays a times, from human, doggie, horsey drew the line a ferret sitting.... have had em too. thanks rottie.....in the last 10min she has plonked on the dogue couch... first relax of the day.

this might be a bit rude... but rottie lover asked me in the dally thread did sophie need anything... she will need a second hand dog jacket. if there is one out there...it needs not to be flash but warm. we get snow if we are unlucky, but some days the day temp does not get above 10degrees. the deal with mr clydes is he won't let her in the house unsupervised untill 100% toilet trained which is fair. often our dogs go out with him into the shop.... so it get cold. at my place while i am at work they have a large dog door and veeranda acess so toilet training not such an issue there. she is fine in the crate over night. no need to let her out last night. she will pick house training up quickly i think but it all depends on her back ground of which we know very little.

when she learns to slow down and not pace she will get many hugs... but she has had many so far too! might look at the off lead pics to put up in the dally thread. sc you have done a great job.... aren't you glad you stuck it out? he's turning into a family member.

i am so glad when we go for a walk there are no leads. none of ours are really text book. leo pulls like a 500kg freight train in any thing other than a halti due to bad repeated training till we got him. he totally ignores a flat collar. hallelujah for off lead acreage.

talking of muging some one for a ball.... we once camped over night near a park in our caravan. in the morning the ball ocd jrt came out to find it was an afl kicking school in the morning... and what better thing than a footie. see the jrt was rehomed to us complete with his footie. so to see about 500 rolling around in the park he did not know which one to chase first. he was rushing round grabbing this one and that one. then stealing if off a small child.

should be more of it..... some parents can't seem to keep there brood under control. as a country kid have had the dogs set on us more than once..... i think being a smart arse and saying you would not dare sealed our fate!

thanks for asking.. woodbyne picked them up... and barkon... lovely lady she is transported her to canberra. there are some pics of sophie in the dally thread. you are welcome to come in and see. so far unlike leo she is not true broken dally. she jumps, she protect what she thinks is hers... she almost has some sort of recall... in only a few days... walked off lead just then with us and got the idea not to pee off. if she walked straight on lead she would be better than leo is now! he can be a pulling prat when the mood strikes. she has only had one spat which we have no idea why.... for which she was promtly crated and had the shade drawn. for about 10min or so. no more sign. the boys all think she's nice.

nice colour and you sentiments about its not staying apply to our newbie too. hoping one of the OH customers meets and takes her. in a few months of course.

there is an open space at bundanoon. is open one end and fenced yards around it. over the rail track and near the health retreat. very quiet street too. very flat anf grassy we work horses there when at sil. or if you try shibumi equestrain and carriage driving... cheryl boards dogs and might be open to your cause a very nice lady. she has fenced paddocks and an indoor arena if wet! always nice not to get wet.

if both your puppies parents have papers and a prefix, then if someone has acess to a data base online could this not be verified. in fact should it not be verified if a breeder prefexied and all be selling puppies via pet shops..... in the interests of ethical breeding? jmo folks but if some one is breaking the rules should you not want to stop it?
