  1. mm i guess time will tell...and i reccon i asked for that one! as in no pups.. me i thought there might have been some difference other than no pups. do they get over it or do they need hormones or some sort of physco therapy! if she had managed to get in a "family way" she would basically be due... yes nesting boobies look full., yes gained weight but if she were due anyday..... there would be some thing to feel... surely... i have felt and massaged carefully and no normal signs.... nothing to feel... so unless its one minuscule pup..... or she has dropped em .... born dead.
  2. i think we might have one so i was wanting some one with experience to tell me how i can tell the difference. with a normal pregnacy i know it is apparant as you get puppies at the end... so what is different with a phantom?
  3. i taught this one to try and over come leos(dally) fear of heights.... and no heights to him are the table or back of a ute. the ladder is a 3 step ladder bough from aldi for under $50.00. i get him to climb the ladder sit on the top step and put his front paws over the bar and then do a hi five. faster he does it faster he gets a banana. now if i get the ladder and the banana he knocks you over in the rush. yes it was a bad weather day. i saw on funniest home videos a dog doing a boxing trick... touching left and right quickly like a boxer... hitting the training punching bag.....i can get him to do 2 or 3 sets... then the treat takes over..... and we loose the plot.
  4. see woodbyne a small sucess make it all worth while. if you get stuck again... i will help you out if i can....your heart is in the right place, so dont be frightened to put your hand up again hey!
  5. hey tango does what we call the u turn. leo does it... he never seems to turn full circle.....first one way almost all the way round then the other... not like going round and round but only back to the same spot he started at.... they are rather cuties. although now measurement has decided sc is very lucky to have 3 spots and now wants to know why we couldn't have 3... 3 matians and 3 teriosts boy wouldn't it be crowded....
  6. seems she doing fine. not even missing us too much. not sure to be sad or happy at that..... but glad she's not distressed.
  7. hope you are also doing bettera kirty! Makes me glad that at least 2 of them got a new start......poor child was crying again last night...
  8. i think spotty chick and i met the same rescue person.... might has well been except that the dog we looked at was a digger so concret foundations not a high fence was the drama in that situation. foster and rescue can come from all walks of life... we adopted sophie from the general board of dol...but others have come via the local buy swap and sell on the radio... friends who want to dump fido for what ever reason. her update is on the board atm.... we um no i had hoped for some time i she would never find a home. the new family found us without her being advertised... and now she is on trial. sophies story...http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=205628
  9. barkon you were right she has blossomed into a smoochie lovely girl whom still has some way to go.... but in my words in her first thread...... nothing that meant she had to pts. i am sitting here wanting an email to tell me she's settled in fine!
  10. its the OH's yard.... the washer is an old one... it leaks so is used for washing...horse rugs. so hence being out in the yard...it then doesn't matter if it leaks.
  11. what is that? her normal curiosity... the look i loved best.
  12. sitting in the sun saying goodbye. busy morning doggie fighting with leo a normal day...
  13. oh well she has gorn on trial..... the poor child measurement is very upset and been in tears... so to make it feel a bit better we have come to up load the pics... they(the new family) are going to make a donation to horus and dally resuce, and might even take the odd one on to foster. so forgive us and induge us in a large amount of photos. they do seem nice... and i hope for both them and her it works out.
  14. dancinbcs said it.... in the horse world (and yes it is a different world) the bigger more important studs like to have lots of geldings (speyed males) out there with there prefix as it is seen as free advertising and promoting the breed. most showing horse owners want the non hormonal gelding over mares.... colts and stallions are discouraged..... seems a bit different in the doggie world. if the speyed off spring could be out there and shown it might increase numbers and there fore interest in the joe public....
  15. we have to dals.... sophie who is on foster is hyper... sniffing and off doing all the time although getting better! leo is the reverse. he will sleep 26 hours a day if you let him... take him for a run and he will run under sufferance... but the second you stop he's down for the count again. he is smart... she is smarter... he loves food and will do anything to get it. she thinks your silly asking sit... with food in hand.... her attention is 100% on the food not on the task. you sure they wouldn't like a jrt? :D
  16. you never know sc.... It looked like sophie was gunna fail too... The 2 dallies even seem to have aqured a nick name at homes of "the spots" and yet her prospective owners found us unlikely i thought being 35km from the nearest town. If he is meant to stay he will.... If there is a new owner to be in his life he will find it.... We don't really want sophie to go, but if its good or best for her future i won't stand in her way. by training with him it sounds like its good for all your hot digity doggies.
  17. ok so relality is a bit tough..... I don't want her to go....... Slaps self wake up clydes...
  18. have a new camera on charge so will have to take a million pics.... because she is so loveable now.....she not only waggs her tail continuously but the whole dog waggs now.... also she bumps you the same way a cat does for a pat. not the scardy cat anorexic whom arrived here on the long weekend in june. i would (which i forgot norty me) like to thank those who have helped sophie..... if i list you lot i will miss some one..... but it has been worth it we did save 2 of the 4... so not bad. tilly sophies sister lives in vic.
  19. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...=196880&hl= hope this works her story from the start.
  20. well sophie has decided she likes people. she will greet me in the morning with a toilet lap snuggle. what she does is put her head in your lap(while you are on the toilet and trying to pee) and demand you scrub her head hard.... and she does go all googy and floppy. she will now sniff strangers and has learnt if you sit some one "might" throw food at you. the biggest news is she has an interview on sunday for morning tea, the people had a dally cross whom recently died of old age. they have been devastated.... so are comming to meet and greet. she will go only under the strictets of terms due to the whole fate of her bro nelson.... one of which is we will collect her unconditionally if any drama occours.... this has been a long road........ but sophie has become a loving out going girl in only a few short months..
  21. you could try your local motel, most refurbish these sorts of items often. ours donated them to the local wildlife rescue people. or try the comercial laundary (ones that service hotels) they often have old and treadbare stuff they want to get rid of.
  22. blinks innocent.y..... But hearding children would be ideal if you had 9 children! sophie is far too smart for her good....... Leo is the goofy one.....he will do anything for a banana. even jump which he finds unnatural.... Sophie does not need your compay..... She is always findind entertainment even if it is chewing your shoe.
  23. i am intrigued....was it a canberra breeder or a tassie breeder. see we are only an hour from canberra and our pet shop had a litter of dallies at christmas.... that why i was wondering if it were canberra! just ponderin aloud.
