  1. Does anyone have a photo link of him that could be posted? I'm nowhere near the area, but if I was and wanted to look, a pic reference would be handy. Thoughts are with Jed. Sending healing vibes and will donate tomorrow.
  2. For dog stuff to do, check here http://www.dogsnt.com.au/ There's all the usual stuff, dog shows, obedience clubs, agility, etc. New people and their dogs are always welcome. Parks and beaches in Darwin are all off-leash unless signed otherwise. Work is incredibly easy to get. But the cost of living is high. Lifestyle is laid back. Now is the perfect time to move here. You miss winter and can ease into the build-up.
  3. Feeling the need to add a good GP story here I was at a show last weekend with my 10 month old Dane boy. He's never had much to do with kids. A man came along with his 3 kids and asked if they could pat him. I put him in a drop and the kids came in slowly and patted (as advised by dad). When he'd had enough, he backed toward me. Dad noticed, told the kids he'd had enough and they thanked me and moved on. Happy me, happy dog, happy kids and the most tuned-in Dad I've ever seen at a dog show
  4. She'll just be Princess still I think, as you said the other title is a bit silly when you are a Princess. It took her 3 days to play with Dollop the first time I have no clue what the Princess will do :D Awww, she can't help it if she's a little slow :D
  5. Bwaa haa, fail I'm now thinking there's a fair chance I'll title at least one of my two Oooh, and to make it to shows without having to change a tyre Shut up you! :D I counted up Rosie's points yesterday and she has 82 points Isn't that what spares are for Meg?? Yay for Rosie. Although, when you already have the title of Princess, Champion doesn't really matter. Will it be Princess Champion Rosie or Champion Princess Rosie? Will she still play with Dollop when she has so many titles? He's over the half way mark.
  6. Bwaa haa, fail I'm now thinking there's a fair chance I'll title at least one of my two Oooh, and to make it to shows without having to change a tyre :D
  7. That would be an incredibly hard decision to make. I could sit here and say "Yeah, I'd do it". But I honestly wouldn't know how I'd feel if it were one of my dogs. It's such a personal thing and a decision that could only be made by the owner of the dog. There is no right or wrong answer. Your feelings at the time need to be taken into consideration, and you may change your mind over and over again. Thoughts are with you and CW.
  8. Thinking of you. It's never an easy decision. I would go with the at home option, it's where he's most comfortable.
  9. Many To all involved in the weekend, I had a ball. We made it home safely. Megz's trailer will be here soon, we saw it on the way home Looking forward to the next road trip. (Hopefully without the tyre blowout )
  10. The trailer? Just heard from Megz and Itsmeg as they were leaving Katherine. No, not the trailer, she meant the weekend Long day but we're here
  11. Is that the little trailer plan B or the big trailer plan B?
  12. Awww, missed that one. Note to self.......................watch Megz and Harry this weekend Loving everyone's posts, makes me feel better about myself. -I get the idea of a triangle, but can't seem to run one for the life of me. -I've been known to stop in the wrong place, nowhere near the judge. -Puppy Dane bit me on the bum while going around the ring My favourite stuff up was done by my dog. After the third show of a weekend, she decided she'd had enough. Group line up and we'd just done an out and back. She flopped herself down to the ground onto her side, with no intentions of getting up. Luckily, the judge had already turned his back to us and had no idea that I was behind him trying to lift a 50kg great Dane into a stand from a dead weight Try doing that without laughing
  13. Do I have to share with Dollop? He drools Oooh, do you have a bay with a window I can stick my head out of?
  14. Does that mean I may be sharing the back seat with eight dogs?
  15. I've found that another good thing to add is letters from neighbours (i.e. dog doesn't bark/is friendly, owner keeps yard clean, stuff like that). Good luck.
  16. Yay, another one Where from? What breed of dogs?
  17. Wheeeeeee, I'm coming And so is my dog
  18. Hey, We've got lots of them here. Just swing by on your next shopping trip. And on the way back, stop by central Australia for all the camel you can carry. :D No help with the others, I'm afraid (crocs ate them all).
  19. Hehehe, come to Darwin and meet mine. I'm lucky if I get to have a shower alone . A bath here consists of the hose and dog shampoo, both love it I have Danes and they love their backs being scratched. Bevo, maybe get him checked out by a chiropractor? ETA: pop into the Dane thread, someone may have had the same issue??
  20. Hey. Drop into the Dane thread (in breed subforums). You'll find all sorts of Dane owners, and heaps of information. On your first Dane The second won't be too far away I have two, and feed them both on Eukanuba. My girl is almost two, and I'm heading more toward raw with her. My boy is 9 months, so he's still mainly a Euk Large Breed Puppy food kind of guy.
  21. Looks like 10th and 11th. See here http://circuit.k9territory.com/events.htm
  22. Dozer would be a hooker, she loves everybody. -Drunk guys sleeping in the park? Yeah, they'll be her friends. -Bikie gangs? Yeah, they'll be her friends. -Teenage boy graffiti 'artists'? Yeah, they'll be her friends. And so on Dollop would be dozens of things. -Clown -Beach bum -Taste tester at a soap factory -Nude model (he likes to show off his bits) -Face washer -Food critic, raving reviews all round -Etc But most of all, he loves being a dog Edited for spelling and to add that I'm a plane fixer
