Sounds a bit like my shower time. Although, I have a single (normal?) shower and two Great Danes! Both are more than happy to wander in for a drink, a pat, a wash.................... Hmm, maybe I'm lucky I don't own a bath.

Women Injured And Animals Killed In Overnight Fires (caboolture Qld)
D & D replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
Wow Beautiful tributes. May Little Evie and TBCSITW catch more smurfs than they know what to do with. -
Yeah, I thought that at first, too. But then some people never venture into the Showring or News sections. Eh, the more threads, the more people will become aware, and that can only be a good thing. Here's hoping that there's some good news just around the corner

From the breed standard Irish Wolfhound: Should not be quite so heavy or massive as the Great Dane, but more so than the Deerhound........................ Desired height: Averaging 81cms (32 inches) to 86cms (34 inches) for dogs. Minimum height: Dogs 79cms (31 inches) Bitches 71 cms (28 inches) Great Dane Adult dogs: 79cms (30 inches) over 18 months Adult bitches: 71cms (28 inches) over 18 months So, theoretically, a Dane should be more solid but about the same height as an Irish Wolfhound. Great Danes have no maximum height in the breed standard, but they should be balanced for their size. There doesn't seem to be many Danes around that are at the lower end of the scale. I have a bitch who stands 83cms at the shoulder, so she's 12cms taller than she needs to be. Sadly, some breeders appear to be breeding for height without much thought for balance, conformation or health. As they say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. IMO it's not a competition and shouldn't be.

no its not - I have it in black and white in front of me. Along with other interesting things from Kristina. I dont make things up. If you have evidence that Kristina is selling more puppies to pet shops or breeding for this purpose, feel free to post it. If not, I'm afraid I'm going to have assume it is speculation and ignore it Glad to see at least one person in here with a brain pity it's not you

Puppy farmers. I cannot imagine any responsible ethical breeder selling their babies to a pet store. Yup...I know a few breeder's, all registered, and reputable. None of them would even consider selling to a pet store. Guess that's the difference between an ethical breeder and some one with no ethics who is only interested in the money Oh ye, the money, stupid. U'd make a hell of a lot more by selling private. can i ask you why the pups werent sold privately? seems to me that would have been a better option for everyone. Er, she tried..............................on gumtree

Er, how peaceful would it be getting hurled through the air as high as she could possibly throw them and landing in the water be? People seem to be saying that it may be acceptable to drown puppies in whatever country she is from. Sure, that may be an accepted thing, what is horrifying is the way she does it

Try this one, he features in DNA too. http://www.dognewsaustralia.com.au/ May need to scroll down a bit. There was many a thread on him (and his wife).

Question For Breeders About Pet Stores.
D & D replied to lovemesideways's topic in General Dog Discussion
From what I can see, dobesrock has been polite and civilised in articulating her views and has not sought to demean and insult others. Others responding, regardless of whether they agree with her views would do well to emulate such conduct. It doesn't really matter how 'right' a person's convictions are if the message is distorted during the communication process or the person's inability to express himself/herself articulately makes others dismiss that person as an ill-mannered boor. Since when were you appointed the DOL Police to monitor and comment on other's posts just because you disagree with the way they communicated their opinion. For godsake this is a public forum and people have differing styles of communication so it's totally unrealistic to expect everyone to be "nice" and articulate themselves in the manner you expect. I really don't think we need a lesson in communication from you. Not being able to articulate their views to your liking does not make them ill-mannered boors x2 I was thinking the same thing. Only, I wouldn't have been able to say it as well (or as nicely). :D -
Any news on whether they made it to Perth today?

They're a publically listed company. So profits for shareholders are important

So sad for the owners RIP Run free and painless.

What health tests did she carry out on her dogs? If she knew so much about them, surely there would have been some testing done? What type of 'return policy' (for want of a better term) did she have? What type of 'after you bring home your puppy' advice did she offer?

I like the phone book idea. I have a just desexed girl at home, keeping her quiet/calm has been somewhat of a challenge. This seems to have kept her quietly entertained for hours It's one of those rubber toys with holes (which she never really cared for). I've stuffed a venison ear into it and it's her new favourite thing. She's managed to eat about half of the ear since yesterday.
