What a wonderful night of learning I was inspired and can't wait for the week-end to begin, roll on Friday lunchtime. It was lovely to see so many people there and Yes Richard is definately entertaining but I think his clip of Betty stole the show. GG where on the northside of Brisbane do you live?? The DWDQ are at the moment trying to establish some splinter groups of people to get together and train. At the moment there is 3-4 of us that train at Metro dog Club at Chermside. We pretty much do our own thing but if one of us are having trouble the others are there to help out if need be. Now off to try and get some sort of focus on my dogs before the week-end AND to decide which routine Chook will embarrass me with PS I was the one wearing the splarkly beagle necklace that Huski had her eyes on

The hardest part is over you've done your first trial. Glad to hear you had a good time

The best thing you can do is video yourself and see what you are doing with your hands. The camera is your best training tool. It is also good to video yourself from different angles ie front on, side on and from behind. This will get your whole body, remember to watch yourself carefully it is amazing what you do without even knowing your doing it.

BC4ME replied to MrsD's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I've seen you try to walk a straight line But you should give it a go Bec DWD is so much fun except if you have a dog like Chook then it is just down right frustrating -
I remember recently doing the vetting for an obedience trial. A gentleman came up with his 2 bitches and I asked if they were desexed gentleman replied, "Yes they both are". I asked to see their tattoos. I couldn't find 1 of the ear tattoos so I checked his bitch and SHE WAS IN SEASON....... He said, "Is she.....oops" I had to ask him to leave the ground immediately.

And not just on the website either by the sounds of things :D I can just see poor "Stevette" now at 16 waiting for her boyfriend to pick her up. Stevette says to boyfriend pick me up at 8:00 and we'll party all night just ignore all the protection dogs, e-collars, prong collars and bite equipment etc oh then there is Dad he may snarl and growl a little but once you understand what drive he is in you will be able to handle him with ease ;) Congrats to you and Mrs Steve
