Oh no that is terrible =/ hopefully you get it back alot faster then 4 weeks =| Must have been the night for it last night, my laptop died and I need it really badly it is a lost cause so I will have to buy another. I am finally considering a switch to the dark side . . . . A mac book but they aren't cheap either (well they are considering but not when I don't have the money to happily spend) I think there was an evil anti electronics bug out last night, trashing things here and there

I have one of these http://www.dakine.com/sport-packs/photo/sequence/ designed for in the snow etc and hiking, I like it has all the padded bits and pieces. I love it

A 450D and kits lenses is what I started out with (and still have but also now have a 50 1.8). If you have never had a SLR or DSLR then there are lots of other things to learn about etc that will improve your photos out of site and then when a few of those things are down pat you will probably be like Shell and wanting a new one. The important thing is though that by that time you should know what you want cause you know more about your camera. I would get the kit, it has taken me at least 6 months to even get a pretty good idea of my camera and I am still confused as to what lenses I want next (but then I can be a bit slow ;p) *edit cause i can't spell

Cop Accused Of Cruelty After Taking Two Shots To Kill Kangaroo
altheau replied to Steve's topic in In The News
It is worth hearing the photographers side, it was not actually setup, he just happened across the scene Photographers Comments worth reading the first comment directly after, makes sense also what he said. There are some decisions that just can't wait for everyone to arrive, they are hard and take courage to make. I am glad the Police had the courage to do what was right. -

I have tried it with Yuki but was turned off when I saw a lady in my street have her dog cross her path and send her flying on the road. OUCH. I was horrified and am still suprised that when I checked to see if she was ok I did not find a blood mess, she was very lucky to have just landed on the road and not skid at all. I have had a few near misses with Yuki and since seeing this have not had the courage to try with her again. I have alot more control over her while walking now though so I might try again after summer eases off. Training for it is definatly key =]

I would consider a slightly thicker text for the first card as it kinda blends out a bit (it is hard to read it without clicking on the picture and seeing it full size, where as I can read the second one without expanding it both have pros and cons but I would consider the one with the photo. I would consider a photo of a dog, horse or cat as I think that they are the more popular photo subjects so more likely to attract someones eye. Just my thoughts any how =] *DOH just re read your last post about looking for a dog picture, yes good idea =]

What Do You Wish You Knew Before You Got Your Dog?
altheau replied to GeorgieB's topic in General Dog Discussion
I think the one thing I realised was that there is a massive diffrence between growing up with dogs, compared with owning a dog. There are lots of things that my parents took care off that I did not think about. -

Day 3: Not a good photo technically, but definatly typical Yuki, she is always hoping for a game of ball -
Possibly that lead to this . . . . I guess their theory might be that banning people from collecting would discourage people from letting them go to boost the stock. Tis the only reason I can think of unless they have been turning up at the doggers. Lovely shots, nothing nicer then seeing horses running free. Unfortuantly they always seem to be hiding when we head up to the mountains!

Great idea, will definatly make it alot easier!

I actually ready on a photography mag the other day that you should expect that shake etc will become a problem for a shutter speed at or lower then the size of your lense, so anythong under about 1/60 for a 50mm for example and it is likely that you might get blur I am the same and now try to use this tip to help me decide if I need my tripod or not etc.
