Women Injured And Animals Killed In Overnight Fires (caboolture Qld)
FranVT replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
Thanks I've so far asked for some info and a quote. I sent an email to the 'ozdoggy' site yesterday asking for help and this is what I got back: "Hi Fran, Yes, I was reading about this today. I suggest you contact Talking Stones on this page here: http://www.ozdoggy.com.au/ozdoggy/profile.jsp?ozdoggyid=4203 I also CC this to Talking Stones - and James can contact me direct to discuss Oz Doggy / Talking Stones options re: cost. James, maybe give me a call during business hours. Best regards [name] @ Oz Doggy" -

Magnus, silly beautiful boy, come home Hopefully he's found somewhere warm and comfy for the night and some person who is totally naive to all that's gone on or who hasn't got the 'click' yet that it could be Jed's dog is looking after him. Airway damage is difficult to assess until the swelling goes down, Steve is totally right. -

Thinking of you so much Jed and your precious dogs, both those who have passed and those that remain to see you through this. If love and thoughts of strength and healing could cure you you would be back with us by now. Be strong, heal smoothly, and know we will be here with you always. In the immortal words of the Scrubs team from my favourite and most moving episode: "You're going to be okay - that's what's going to happen. Everything's okay. We're right here beside you, we won't let you slip away. Plan for tomorrow, because we swear to you, You're going to be okay." All our love, Fran and Luuka -

Is someone staying at the property or nearby so they can see if he comes home? How tragic if he were to come home and wander off again when no one was there to meet him -

I will be lighting a candle for every deceased dog as well. I have heaps if anyone can't "make it" and would like me to light one for them. -

Is it kosher for me to offer a wine pack and freight for said wine pack? It'd be six mixed bottles of good quality wine. That's all I have on hand I can offer that'd be suitable for auction I think.

I would give my right kidney if it was easily removable! But I can donate some very nice wine? Burst into tears when I saw this, what a divine idea, I will be lighting a candle for sure. What about starting a new thread in General for this particular thing at 9pm and pics of our lit candles? Too much? I just want Jed to know how affected we all are and how much we're thinking of her and her children and dogs. -

Oh I hope it's him come on Magnus please co-operate I know it's petty but it annoys me on that video that they're saying the animals will be cared for by the RSPCA. -

What a beautiful post, you have reflected my feelings exactly. That sounds like a great idea ill be there to help out. If it's this weekend, I'll be there too, even if I have to stay later on Sunday I'll be there. As long as I'm back in Rocky by 7am Monday I'm good. -

Thank you all so much for the advice and links! I had a really good chat with the guy at Camerasdirect and he said that the D5000 is probably a better ENTRY LEVEL camera because it has little inbuilt tutorials and instructions and tips/tricks etc when the D90 sorta leaves you on your own. He also told me about the focussing motor in the AF-S lenses and the subsequent limitations of lenses HOWEVER he said that by the time I'm needing lots of different lenses I'll probably be ready to upgrade my camera body anyway, IF I decide to get more involved in photography. In conclusion: I bought the D5000 and twin VR Lens Kit (18-55mm and 55-200mm) plus a 4GB SD card and bag for $1077 and am picking up my camera (Gold Coast) directly after I pick up my car on Friday
-
Good point. Sigh. Back to the drawing board! I am trying to find a site that can tell me the actual differences between the two and the advantages of the D90. Maybe I don't know enough to tell
-
I'm posting this with permission, found it on my Facebook feed :D This is Roman, the big boofa that I posted about in General awhile ago, and his mummy's sister's new pup.

It's only that that ebay one comes with 2 extra lenses. I guess I am still wary of buying a camera that is totally without warranty of any kind (as the DD Photographics ones are) but at least I can pick it up from them in Brisbane :D
